The product is a great idea. I think the bowl "sticks" better to the countertop (silestone) than to the plastic high chair tray. My 17 mos old is able to eventually loosen the grip the bowl has on the tray and then she dumps the bowl. It is easy to clean as are the utensils. My child likes the utensils- especially the "spork" although she prefers using them when they are not stuck down as the coil is a little bit short for what she needs.

i thought this was ingenious before buying it but now i'm kind of regretting spending the money. the bowl doesnt even stick to her high chair surface cuz its plastic, and the utensils cords are too short to put anything in her mouth, bottom line, more hype than practicality..

I was looking a for a bowl I could use to leave out for my 1 year old son. He loves to dump bowls out and this one stays put. I put his breakfast in it in his playroom and he eats it as he plays, he no longer will sit and eat in his highchair so this bowl works great! I have not tried the fork and spoon yet, but I did try out the suction and they work great too! I have tried other suction bowl in the past and never stayed put, this one does!

We use the bowl and cutlery for cut up pieces of table food. Our child is learning to use the fork and spoon, both which stay in place. However, the bowl can be removed by our 1 year old with one or two tugs. I would recommend that the suction piece at the bottom of the bowl not be removable, but rather one solid piece like on the cutlery.

I'm really not satisfied with this product for two main reasons:

1. The suction cups at the bottom are not very strong at all. I've tried it dry, wet, damp, and it won't stick to a perfectly flat plastic try or my kitchen table.

2. The cords connecting the spoon to the suction cup are not long enough to reach my son's mouth. If he pulls hard enough to get it up to his mouth, it pops off and defeats the entire purpose.

Cons:
Cutlery cords too short
Best Uses:

I purchased these when my son was about 10 months old and gleefully threw his spoons off of his high chair. The bowl works great, although a smaller, shorter bowl would be better for shorter children. The curved, chunky handles of the spoon and fork were easy for him to hold. Unfortunately, while the suction cups on the fork and spoon were very secure, the coiled cord was too stiff and too short for him to use with any degree of comfort. I even had a hard time reaching his mouth using the suction cups. I cut off the cord & suction cup and now we use the spoon and fork alone, and they work fine.

The suction "cups" on the cuttlery aren't even cups, they're basicly flat rubber circles with a slight dimple in the middle. I love them now that they're glued down, and my 9 mo-old really prefers them over having me shove a spoon into his mouth. The bowl sticks on its own.
Be sure to wash them immediatly. I waited too long on some pasta sauce and now they're stained.

Wouldn't "stay put"
By AmyVerified Purchaser from CA on 8/29/2007
Cons:
Plastic-ey smell, Poor Seals
Describe Yourself:
Parent of Two or More Children
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This product did not work for my 13-month twin boys AT ALL! It was impossible to get the bowl or cutlery to affix very strongly to their 2006 Evenflo high chair trays. Both boys would watch me press the bowl in place and then immediately begin yanking on it once or twice until it popped off, food flying! And the cutlery had a funny plastic-ey smell that wouldn't come out, even after repeated washings. We are disappointed -- we really hoped they would be useful.

Good idea but not so practical
By VeronicaVerified Purchaser from Bogota, CO on 8/25/2007
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:

I would only recomend time for kids that throw their bowls and spoons and on the floor. Unfortunately this did not work on my daughter and she would jank it off. Now she's 16 months old and is no longer interested in throwing the bowl off her high chair. I would not recommend this as a perfect suction bowl. Also the spoon being attached didn;t give her much movement and she never liked it.

Cons:
Flimsy, Poor Seals
Best Uses:

The idea seemed wonderful for my spoon tossing, bowl flippiing messy little eater! Although the idea & set were cute, we realized the cutlery suction lasted one millisecond. And the bowl suction about 3 seconds. The set was flying through the air in an instant rather than staying put. It was a joke! We should have realized :) Would not recommend.
