I decided on this bath pillow after reviewing multiple other bath options. I knew that I did not want the hard plastic one I had with my first son. I am glad I got this one. Worked well in the bath and the sink for bathing and now works great as a knee pillow when I am bathing my youngest or washing my 5 yr. old's hair. I even used it laying on the floor when I had to use the rest room and was holding a sleeping baby, it never woke him up to lay him down on it.

I used this for all 3 of my children. I got it as a gift when my oldest was about 5 months old. Before that we had been bathing her in a plastic bathtub and she HATED it. As soon as we got the Safer Bather she loved the bath. It made it so I could bath her without worrying that she would lean over an knock her head on the side of a plastic tub. It also comes with a hook so you can hang it on the shower head to drip dry and you can store it there as well. great product!

There is a place for their bottoms to fit. This helps keep their head up without water in the ears and as they get bigger they can sit in it. If they start to fall there is something soft for them and not straight into the water. My first baby was very long so I did not have to worry about her hitting plastic while bathing. As long as you hang it up after each bath with the hanger it drys just fine. This is my second one. I am getting a new one since my other one was over 2 years old.

I have tried a few bathers and this one is my favorite. It is the most comfortable and my son can relax while I am washing him. This is my second one in 11 months because I bath him every night and the pillow became flat. Believe it or not I still use it and he is over 31" long. It allows him to rest his head safely while lying down (easier to bath him this way) and play with some toys. The best part is that his head is protected.
I squeeze it out and hang it to dry and I'm good to go the next day.

my baby is a mover, and we used one of the plastic tubs inside the bathtub for a while, but she would try to launch herself out of it. This tub mat has been great. it took her from laying down to sitting up and starting to move on her own around the bath. Now she is 8 months old and wanting to crawl all over the tub so we have to look for another solution, but this was a GREAT find for the past 5 months. For my next baby I'll definitely start with this.

We have twins and 2 of these safer bathers; we love them. At first we used this a the sink for sponge baths and later in the big tub. My husband always helped with baths and both boys are in the tub at the same time. We used these mats until the boys were quite mobile and crawling (10+ months old.) They washed great in the washer and dryer when needed, and also traveled to grandma and grandpa's home as well as a long hotel stay. These were so much more comfortable for our boys than the plastic tub (which was great when they were super little in the kitchen sink.)

I am the mom of 3 boys. I bought this bather after using several other baby bathtubs that I was unsatisfied with. I love this one because it is easy to carry around, takes up less space than the plastic tubs, and can be used in my kitchen sink, which is easier on my back than having to bathe the baby in my bathtub. This is my second one. I had one for my son and loved it so much I bought a new one for my new baby girl. I bought a new one only because we used the last so much it kinda got a little flat like an old pillow. It was still comfy but I wanted some new stuff for my daughter and its not all that expensive. It typically only takes overnight to dry, but you have to keep the shower curtain open for air to get to it. The mildew smell some people talk about comes from being behind a closed curtain without a good air exchange. LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!!! Much better than slippery baby baths or those mesh chairs that are so elevated that the baby slips off the end if you don't have both hands on him/her.

This product is wonderful. It fits in the kitchen sink, which is a much easier place to bathe them when they're tiny. It's very supportive, so you're not stuck trying to figure out how to get the shampoo out with one hand, and don't have to risk an injury to the baby when your hands are all slippery. When they're too big for the sink, this moves right into the big tub to support them. Just hang it with the included hanger to dry. It is a bit bulky, but we have limited space in our home and it was never once the slightest problem.

It looks much bigger and easy to use in the picture. You can't use it at all in an infant tub. It is too big for that. Not as long as I expected it too be. If it were longer it would be easier to use in the sink or adult tub. Really hasn't helped me much at all.

My oldest child is now 3 and when she was an infant, like so many first time parents, we purchased several different kinds of infant bathers and were never satisfied with the design. Plastic infant bathers are great in concept, but aren't designed to allow the infant to at least have the water up to waist level so that she can stay warm. Also, because they are made of plastic and contoured a particular way, an infant who has not yet mastered sitting up and balancing herself is rather uncomfortable. When we came across the Safe Bather, we decided to give it a shot and completely fell in love with it!! It keeps baby's head propped above her torso and legs so that she can at least have water up to her waist without worrying about it getting too close to her face. It's soft and cushiony, so it's very comfortable. Our bathtub is smaller than most and it fits perfectly. When done, we just hung it up in the bathtub and let it "drip dry." We never had to wring it out and it NEVER smelled musty or got moldy. When our second child was born, we went out and bought a new one for her. This bather is effective and, most importantly, safe. We absolutely love it and I've purchased ones for my friends who are expecting. Thank you for a fantastic product!

The bather is cushiony and safe for baby; however it is very bulky and gets water logged. It takes a lot of time to squeeze out the water and dry, which is tedious. I have used it off and on, both in the tub and out of the tub on the floor (dry) as a sort of bouncy chair/place to put the baby in the bathroom during the bathing process. It can help to make the bathing experience, especially in the bathtub, safer; however you still need to lift baby to get in all the folds of skin and to wash her hair.

I purchased this safe bather because it looked so comfortable and my 3 month old looked so uncomfortable in his regular tub. He loves this and so do I. He looks so relaxed and is all smiles in this bather. Normally he will get fussy within a few minutes of his regular tub but with this, he doesn't want to get out. He can just lay there after he is washed up and you can tell he is ever so comfortable.

I LOVE this product for brand new babies. I used this from the first days I brought my son home. At first, I set it on the counter next to the sink for gentle sponge baths. Eventually, transitioned to the tub where he could like comfortably and be partially submerged. It is so soft and secure -- doesn't slide in the tub or move even when the baby does. I was able to use it til the baby was about 9 months old.

This works so well in both a baby tub and a regular tub. It cradles the baby perfectly so they do not slide off. My tall baby outgrew his baby tub before he could sit well and it worked great in the regular tub, also. I just hang it in the shower to dry. I've run it in the dryer a couple times to "sanitize" since purchasing it and even now using it with baby #2, it has held up well with no problems of odor or staining.

This product allowed us to start washing our newborn directly in the tub. It was very easy to use in the bath tub and then hang in the tub to dry. Provided great cushion so it was soft and not hard like plastic models. Baby was still protected from the water. LOVE THIS PRODUCT, don't expect it to last forever. You will want to change to something else once baby is sitting up.

I love this bath mat! i have three kids and have used it for ALL! no cumbersome plastic tubs to deal with. baby is always surrounded by warm water. This mat goes in the sink for the wee little one (easier on sore mommy) and then to the tub as baby grows. When I am scared to bath my baby at a month old I searched through net for a week and found this item. After i got this item, I was able to bath my baby very comfortably. She likes it so much. This is a great bathtub! I had the one for an infant then toddler but my baby wanted to lay down inthe water to feel the water. She kept rubbing her back against the bottom of the old bathtub. We had to place our hands under her back to keep her from hurting herslef. This bathtub is great. It's plush and it allows her to lay in the tub by keeping her secure and safe. The tub absorbs the water to keep her warm and it keeps the water out of her ears. It dries quickly overnight for use the next night. It is great! I'm so glad I bought it.

AMAZING PRODUCT!!I can't say enough good things about this product. We have a 3 month old with acid reflux and he is constantly screaming at the top of his lungs, especially during bath time. So I got online to see what I could find to help during bath time and ordered this on a whim. Ever since I have been bathing my little boy in this he has fallen asleep twice and the other times he is not crying but instead just looking around like a happy baby does. It makes me want to give him a bath every night just to not hear him cry for those thirty minutes of silence. I registered for the Eurobath but ended up buying the Safer Bather myself instead and not bothering with the huge Eurobath tub. Seriously, where are you going to store those big plastic tubs? The Safer Bather's all you need. When our baby was a newborn, we used the Safer Bather on the kitchen counter to give her a sponge bath. Now that she's 3 1/3 mos, we use it in the kitchen sink. When she gets too long for the sink, we can just use it in the adult bath tub. I rinse it a little and ring it out after every bath, then hang to dry. I've never had any trouble with mold, and the product has even held up without staining after being pooped on! (I just scrubbed the spot quickly with baby shampoo, and the spot came right out). I wouldn't use anything else to bathe a baby.

Okay, you guys. My 3.5 month old HATES baths and EVERY time we tried bathing her in the hard plastic tub we have, she'd scream. No matter how much we'd try to entertain her, make sure the water temp was just right, etc. So, I started looking for a tub that was softer so she'd stop kicking the edge of the hard tub and arching her back in protest to the seemingly uncomfortable ordeal. I tried bathtub this because a.) it was soft, b.) it was compact (we have one TINY bathroom), and c.) it has a hook on it so I can store it on the shower rod. The first time we bathed her was last week and she still cried, but not as hard as usual. Today? Today! We bathed her in it and she kicked and smiled the whole time! Who's baby is this!? We received this as a shower gift and it was wonderful to have when our son was a tiny baby. Instead of laying him in a cold tub, the warm water absorbs in the Safer Bather and keeps the baby warm the entire bath. It is also very safe. I do feel this should only be used when your baby is very young and then it's time to transition. It dries easily as you just hang it on the shower head when finished. It also washes nicely. I never had a mildew problem. I will definitely use this for our next child!

My first child is six years old and I'm having a second and was hoping I could find this product again. This was by far the BEST product I had when my son was little. I bought this because my son at 5 months wasn't fitting into his baby tub and wasn't sitting up by himself. He loves it! He began kicking and really enjoying taking baths. This pillow is great! I live in an apartment with my husband and 3 kids and so space is at a premium. With our first child we got a plastic bath tub but never used it because it took up too much space. Plus I never liked the idea of the baby being rinsed and washed in the same dirty water. We always bathed out newborns in the sink and this is GREAT for this! The cushion is nice and big so the baby is completely supported and doesn't have to touch the bottom of the cold sink. I can use the fresh continuous water fromt he sink to clean her and know she is not sitting in dirty bath water. I don't think this was meant to be used like this in the sink I think it was meant to be used in the tub and float the baby but my daughter is only 3 weeks and not ready foe the tub so this is great. When she gets a little bigger I will try it is the tub as well.

This was the only bathing item that really worked for us. We tried to use a infant tub, but it was a hassel to use and my son hated it. I put this right in the sink in the kitchen! It stays warm, keeps his head up out of the water, and I don't have to try to hold onto a slippery baby. It does start to pill a bit and smell. It's best to wash it out after every use and once a week I put it in the washer (gental cycle) with a little bleach. Love It.

I purchased the Safer Bather for my daughter when she wasn't sitting up yet, and it turned out to be the best $[...] I've ever spent! I bought the Safer Bather for my first baby 4 yrs ago. It seemed like a better choice for a newborn than a hard plastic tub or any other infant tub I had seen. I loved that I could place her on the soft pillow and know she wouldn't slip or slide off of it. She always seemed to enjoy bath time and was not scared at all. This bath pillow is great! I used it for my daughter when she graduated to the adult tub. Her plastic bath she had before just didn't seem to be comfortable for her so I bought this product. She started using it when she was about 5 months old and was still laying down in the tub. It kept her elevated out of the water just enough so water wouldn't get into her ears. I highly recommend this. Tried the hard plastic tubs and felt that my child would hurt themselves just from the "hardness" of the tub. I loved this and used this so much I found the next stage tub from Leachco.com and bought that. The "tub in a tub" is perfect for the child that can't sit 100% perfect. The bean bag like material is a hit! Everyone use this instead of the hard plastic tubs.

I bought this item because my baby daughter never seemed confortable in her infant tub. I was always trying to keep her head from bumping into the hard sides. Since I started using the Safer Bather she has not cried once during a bath! She stays nice and toasty and really seems to enjoy her bath. It is a bit of a pain to wring out at the end because it holds the water to keep the baby warm, but for me, all the other benefits out weigh the one little inconvenience.

I bought this bather for similar reasons as the other reviewers---I didn't like the hard molded tubs, they didn't not like comfortable and they failed to keep the water warm for the entire bath. What was a fantastic product for my newborn is (yet another) outgrown baby item. My son is now 7 months and 27 inches....if you have a older or larger baby (like mine)---pass on this product.

We got this as a shower gift and love it. On a trip to visit grandma, we didn't want to lug around my 6 m.o.'s bathtub. This was a great alternative! We liked it so much that now we put it in his tub to keep him warm but keep his little ears elevated. He loves the cushioning and pattern. This was the fourth bath I bought for my baby. It is hands-down the best bath available. Non-slip, comfortable, keeps the water warm, great for newborns on up. It takes the stress out of bathing because the baby isn't slipping anywhere, and you can turn them onto their stomachs too so it's easy to clean everywhere. With tubs they sit up in it's hard to clean them, but when they can lay down like this on their backs or stomachs you can get everything clean. Love Love Love it!!!

I couldn't live without my Safer Bather! My son loves bath time now because he can lean back and relax instead of constantly slipping and sliding all over the place. Easy to machine wash too. What a great product!!!

I love this product!!! The hard plastic tub that we'd got as a shower gift leaked all over the counters, and it was shortly after the first time using that leaky tub I found this and got it for our daughter. We love it and have given it to many expecting friends....our daughter is now 4 years old and still uses it to sit on in the tub. We're also expecting our second baby and he'll be using this bather from the start!

This was a great tub for the infant/newborn stage. We used it on our kitchen counter by the sink. The absorbent material was great and baby rested comfortably. It's especially helpful for those 1st couple of weeks when you are sponge bathing. We used the spray feature on the kitchen faucet to help gently wash our newborn on this "tub". We then used it the next month in our tub and she has loved bath time ever since. I agree it made bath time easy. Highly Recommend this one. Great gift!

This is on my short list of MUST HAVES! It really makes bathing a baby a joy - especially a newborn. I wish I had this bather with my first two, I always dreaded bathing them because the tub was hard, they were slippery and trying to clean them one handed was so tough. With the Safer Bather the baby stays put and is so comfy - my little one just loves his bath and I think it's largely due to this product. I put the Safter Bather inside my infant to toddler tub on the counter.

We loved it! Our baby loved it! He's outgrown it because he loves crusing around during bath time... but while he was younger (between 4 to 7 months) he looked so relaxed and comfortable in it.

I didn't like the thought of putting my son in a hard plastic tub, all of which seem to have uncomfortable angles and make it impossible to get under his chin! I was thrilled to find this great bath cushion. It makes a comfortable surface for those first sponge baths, keeps baby warm during those shallow baths, and even works great for baby to sit on as they get older or when bathing with parents. I highly recommend this!
