I bought this for my son when he was about 2 months. He was an early starter for teething. He was too young to make is vibrate on his own so we would squeeze one side while he had the other end in his mouth. Worked great! Now at 10 months, he chews on everything including this. He can make it vibrate on his own and loves to shake the rattle. Its really cute to watch becasue he cant decide if he wants to shake it or chew on it.

I'm an administrator for a group home for children. Many of the children display PICA behavior (which is putting objects in their mouths that they'll eat or suck on). Finding something that is soothing and "clean" for these children to substitute for their bad PICA behaviors is hard to find, but this vibrating teether has become their welcomed "friend".

I tried several other teethers, none of which my son liked. This one he loves. He shakes it as a rattle and learned cause and effect rather quickly as it has to be bit on to engage the vibration. ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!

When I saw this, I didn't think twice before I buy it. I think who doesn't like massage. Right? But my son hates it. He loves to chew it but when it vibrates, he throw it away in 1/100 second like there is a monster in it. I believe most of the baby like it but not my son...

This seems like it would be good for some kids. My daughter is unable to make it vibrate at 9 1/2 months. Plus, when I squeeze it to make it vibrate, she seems bothered by it. She does play with it as a regular teether and rattle. She has others she seems to prefer a lot over this, though.

The ad says nothing about not being able to replcae the battery, now I know why the person who wrote the review was upset about the battery being dead. Once the battery goes, nothing can be done and you have to buy a new one. I would recommend but tell anyone about the battery issue.

My son has been "teething" for several months and has yet to cut a tooth. This teether seems to do an excellent job soothing him and it will no doubt be great when those teeth actually break through the surface. I am going to buy a few more just to be sure that we have one with good batteries.

My daughter loves this teether and seems to get comfort from the vibrations. However, the child must bite the teether to initiate and maintain the vibrations -- there is no off/on switch. It took her awhile to figure that out so I would only recommend for kids 8-12 months.

My son start teething pretty early--a little before 4 months. I tried several teethers, but nothing worked. Since he was so young, most of the teething toys on the market were simply too big for him to handle (or too hard to chew). This one has nice soft rubber and the massager is sensitive enough that he can activiate it with his own gum pressure. He also uses it as a toy (he likes the rattle on the end). A great double-duty teether!

I recently bought this teether for my son who is 5 months old. My cousin strongly recommended that I buy it after seeing great results when used by her 8 month old daughter. My son has only used it for 4 days and is already having his first tooth breaking through on the bottom left. My two year old likes to play with it too!

My daughter is teething now at 5 months. she is pretty coordinated (for a 5 month old!) but still has a lot of difficulty holding this in her mouth, keeping it there at it's kind of bulky. HOWEVER, she does like it when I hold it and press it. She's still learning how to make it work. If this was much smaller and lighter I think it would be a 5 star. My daughter is still learning how to "chew" on things like this. So far..nothing has worked. I suppose as she grows it will be very helpful to her.

The teether has not always been an easy find. I have recently purchased one for my 4th child who has started teething. This is my all time favorite product. Each of my children has use this product. I plan to purchase more as I come across them in case one gets misplaced. The only thing that I wish the company would change is the ability to change the battery. I have not seen other colors or shapes offered.

I bought this teether for my twins and both babies dropped it like a hot potato the minute they felt it vibrate. They are 10 months old. I tried to give it to them a bunch of times, but had the same reaction each time. I put it away and will try it again in another month or so. So, be aware that some babies will be a bit freaked out by it.

I highly recommend this product! [...] My daughter is almost 2, and just starting to get those last 4 back molars in, and she STILL uses this. It has different textures on each tip of the star, that she likes, and the soft vibration soothes her. This was the first teether that I didn't regret buying, and the longer she uses it, the happier I am! :D Hope it works great for you too!

This has been my 11 mo old's favorite teether for months. It was a bit heavy at first, but he soon grew into it. Now, it's the only thing that really comforts when the teething gets bad. We depend on it so much, we got two. It kept getting swiped at playgroup, so now most of the kids have them.
We also use it to tell how bad his teeth/gums hurt. If it's not so bad, he'll play with the rattle end too, but if he's really working on a tooth, he only uses the vibrating end.
