This item is GREAT! This is the second one i have purchased. We got one for our daughter and our son wanted one! Its great to help kids go to sleep and they get to learn at the same time! This is great! I love how it turns off after 45 minutes. Get this product!!!

I really like this turtle. It is very cute in person and seems durable so far. I like this idea for a night light. You have to put the turtle on something high if you really want to see all the constellations clearly but I have my son's on something low and he still likes to look at the stars. the only thing that would make this perfect is if it played music!

My daughter loves to look at the stars in her bedroom at night and also carries around "her turtle" during the day. It's a great bedtime assistant! The only drawback that I see, and it's specific to our house, is that we have high ceilings in fairly large rooms -- the stars lose some of their clarity the further away from the turtle the wall is. Overall -- definitely recommend it!
This is a beautiful addition to a child's room, from infancy to school age. I'm a pediatric clinical social worker and I give it over and over as a gift. I bought the first one for my grandson, who is now four and still uses it every night.

This is our second turtle. The first was soiled (I won't disgust you with how, it justed need to be washed or thrown away) My only complaint is that I wish these guys would make theses types of animals with removable "Guts" so we could throw the animal in the wash for cleaning. We love that they added the Moon and the on switch is now an on/off switch. Great improvements. I gave it four stars only because it isn't machine washable. Our girls love to fall asleep under the stars and missed it greatly while we were awaiting Santa to bring our replacement.

My 2 1/2 year old son loves the stars and the moon, so this was a perfect gift for him. He loves to go lay on his bed and look at the stars and moon as they shine on his ceiling. It's a great way for him to wind down at the end of the night.

My dgter bought these for her 2 and 4 yr old dgters. They loved them and it is the last thing they do when Mom or Dad kisses them goodnite and close the door. I bought them for my grandsons and they also are a godsend to get them to sleep. (Ages 1,2 and 3)
Only problem is that the yellow color does not project well.

I bought this for my 3 year old and 21 month old boys, they share a bedroom and have a hard time going to bed on their own. Now that we have the twilight turtle, they fall fast asleep within minutes! It lights up the entire room with stars and the moon, which they love to find. I only wish this had a battery backup or plug in to recharge. We have gone through 2 batteries in a month. I have already recommended this product to my friends and now to you!

I bought this turtle for my daughter (2 1/2). I used it for about six weeks and the green and blue lights stopped turning on. The Amber light was too dim to shine on the wall 8 inches away. I tried other batteries and they didn't work at all - not even the amber light. I am trying to get an exchange because I really liked it when it worked and was getting ready to get the lady bug, now not so sure. We had it stored on top of a shelf above the dresser. The kids couldn't reach it and only I turned it on at night. Now my son (14 mo) who really got used to it cries himself to sleep without it. My daughter keeps asking for it. Very disappointing to find something they like and it stops working [...]

I was originally looking for something to project the stars on the ceiling when I stumbled across the Twilight Turtle. We baught it for our daughter last year at Christmas time. She's now 3 yrs old and not only does she still love it, but so does the entire family. This turtle is very durable, and excellently crafted. I highly recommend this product to everyone with little ones!!!

My son likes this at night and loves to change the colors. The shell is HARD so it isn't very snuggly. I also like the timer feature so the batteries don't die quickly.

We look for the moon every night before bed. The turtle needs to be on an elevated surface (bookshelf or bedside table) to get a good view of the stars.

Wonderful construction, attention getting look. Althought it doesnt compete well with other light sourses in the room, its a wonderful addition to a room. Its 45m timer is just enough to allow my son to drift off into wonderland with the magic of the stars in the room. FYI star patterns are not easy to make out as big dipper ect. But I love this item.

This is a must-have! The turtle projects actual constellations onto the ceiling. It is better to have it a bit elevated if possible. Our 2-year old loves this at night. The green, blue, or amber colors are great!

I have nothing but great things to say about this product. The moment we set it up my son was amazed. I like that it is comforting, entertaining, and educational all at the same time. I think babies and toddlers alike can enjoy this product for years to come. The turtle is absolutely adorable with a hard plastic shell and his soft arms, legs, and head. Highly recommended!

THIS TURTLE IS GREAT. MY DAUGHTER LOVES IT. WE INTRODUCED IT TO HER WHEN SHE GOT HER BIG GIRL BED. SHE'S 2 1/2 AND LOVES TO LOOK AT THE BRIGHT STARS. IT'S A PLUS THAT IT STAYS ON FOR 45 MIN.

The battery cover requires removal of five tiny screws. One screw was stripped-It took a long time to get the screws out, and when I tried to reattach the cover, after insertion of the batteries, the fuzzy material covering the turtle slid around. Hyper annoying-a more simple and sturdy cover plate would not be that hard to implement. Seems cheap.

I have the Twilight Turtle and the Ladybug as well. They are both wonderful! The only cons to the turtle are:
1) The Turtle doesn't have a moon shape and the ladybug does
2) The lady bug can be turned on and off on the top with the other buttons, but the turtle can only be turned on there. You have to turn it off by the main switch on the bottom.
Otherwise, my children and I are very happy with them and they go to sleep with it every night!

My son (6yrs old) uses it every night to fall asleep and loves it! I think it is a great product but the only problem is in order to really see the star constellations it needs to be in the center of the room and only about a foot from the ceiling. So unless your child's dresser is situated that way you can't really see the contellations. But, I have to say my son loves it anyway!!

My daughter loves this. It is really cool, the stars are well projected on the ceiling and walls too. The different colors help tone in down a little to if you want soft lights.

This is quite a bit larger than I expected and won't be used in the crib, but would work in a toddler bed. The light display is VERY nice. It's also a bit clunkier than I thought. Overall, however, I would recommend it for a table top for an infant and expect that a toddler would love it. 45 minutes of display beats the 10 minutes on her crib lightup toy.

My son loves this turtle. I thought it was plug in, but it is has batteries. But that just makes it very portable. We took it to the hotel for a long weekend and he stayed in his bed by himself the whole night. Is a great help for night time fears..

To clear up my confusing review :) I bought this turtle 3 years ago, and it was great! Still works perfectly, with hundreds of beautiful stars. I loved it so much, I bought one for my second little boy....only this one is terrible. The cut outs of the stars on the shell are not complete, so the shapes that appear on the ceiling are not even close to stars. [...]
