I bought these for my crawler because our berber carpet is rough. This product is poorly designed - the wrong side of the velcro is exposed when the knee pad is on, so when my baby was leaning to the side, the velcro would catch our carpet! I can't believe they overlooked this design flaw!

Research when babies' (or rather, children's) knees begin to form bones. In the beginning, it's just cartilage in there, so their knees aren't as sensitive as our adult knees. My toddler crawled all over our hardwood floors, tiles, anything, and he never complained or showed any signs of this being a bad thing.

I bought this product for my son since we have all hard surface floors in our house. I thought they would be great since my husband and I were crawling around on the floor and our knees were killing us. Our son is only 8 months old, however they didn't fit and slipped down to his ankles. We ended up returning them. He doesn't seem to mind the hard floors and it is much better letting him explore and crawl around without chasing after him trying to keep the knee pads in place.

Bought this for my grandaughter who just started crawling and was getting cuts and bruises on her knees. I read some of the reviews that said they don't stay on and they could not be more wrong. My grandaughter is 8 months old and average size (even a little chubby in the legs) and these pads stayed on her perfectly! They have adjustable straps and the velcro is very strong. The non-slip surface works well on my tile floors and the hardwood floors at her own home. She was intrigued by them first and now gets mad when you try to take them off. Best invention ever, thank you Snazzy Baby!

Bought to use on In Laws brick flooring and they slip more often than not which isnt good for the baby....

These seem like a great idea, however, they were way too tight on my 9 month old's chunky legs. It cut off the circulation. Maybe these are better used on a younger baby that crawls. In that case, I think sizes would be beneficial.

The picture displays a child with the knee pads on bare legs. If you do decide to buy these use them only on a child that is wearing pants b/c they pinch and bunch behind the childs knee causing soreness and redness. They work great outside in the yard.

This is a great idea. I bought this product due to me having hard wood floors. My two year old son is special needs who gets around by crawling or using his walker and his knees have callouses starting. The material is very soft, especially on the knee cap area. I am impressed with its design. My problem is my son doesn't like change. He will not let me put the knee pads on him. We even tried putting them on my 6 yoa's knees and had her crawl around to "show" him it was okay. She commented on how she couldn't feel the floor when wearing them. I think it will be a great product once my son allows me to put them on him.

Pads are great for other tikes. Mine little guy apparently was a little too big. Will only have limited use of the pads since they are snug now on my 11 month old and he has begun to walk. If you are going to buy them buy them early on or not at all.

I bought these for my 10 month old daughter to use in the water fountain/sprinklers at the park being that he ground is a spongy concrete scratches her knees when she crawls, so these looked to be a good idea- not so much. The moment I put them on her she froze. She would not crawl. The knee pads freaked her out. Then when she did try them out they slide around and down her leg. My daughter has some meat on her bones, so it wasn't from being too thin. What a disappointment. At this time the knee pads serve absolutely no purpose. Maybe down the road she can use them when she learns how to ride a bike. Of all the things I have purchased from One Step this is absolutely my one and only let down thus far. Total Rip off.

I read the other reviews about how they come off & just didn't seem to work. I couldn't disagree more. Maybe if u put them on loose, like my hubby does, they tend to slide a little. But if u put them on properly, they arne't too tight & stay put. I have a fully tiled house & they are just PERFECT. Only complaint is the color. Her knees get a little sweaty when wearing, but nothing that doesn't go away the second u take them off. There are slight marks from the straps, but those go right away too. My daughter looked at them the 1st time on, pulled at them for a second, then was off. I really like this product.

Summer is in full swing here in the Oklahoma heat. We have a great spray park near our home and my two older kids love spending time there on a hot day, but my 11 month old daughter had a hard time enjoying it b/c she didn't like to crawl around on the hard cement ground. So I began a search to find some kind of knee pads that would work for her to play in the water with. I did a general search on the internet and was thrilled when these popped up on One Step Ahead's site (I am a HUGE fan of One Step Ahead!). I ordered them straight away and used them for the first time yesterday. They are PERFECT!!! They are easy to put on, my daughter doesn't seem to mind them, and they are very water-friendly! Once my daughter realized that she could crawl around easily without hurting her knees, she couldn't be stopped and crawled around the whole spray park!
When we were done, I set the knee pads outside and they dried very easily.
I don't plan to use these for everyday use (around the house, etc), but for any water activity, I will have them handy so my youngest daughter can enjoy the fun as much as my older kids.

The most practical and comfortable knee pads ever!! Also very cute looking. Only problem, child keeps taking them off when not walking... (she needs it only for walking as she tends to fall alot) which makes it an extra job...
