We just bought our second of these. We used the first one for a year(since our daughter was 1.5 and moved from the high chair to a booster seat). The first one is still quite usable... it's just a bit stained, so we figured we'd get a new one. You could definitely take it out to dinner, but we just use it at home. It completely protects the table from the sticky mess our daughter makes each night, and the spill collector (sometimes combined with a bib) does a very good job protecting her clothes. It's also very easy to clean, though it retains the color of things like pasta sauce (part of the explanation for the 4 stars). It also does not keep the floor clean on it's own, though I doubt there's a product that could singlehandedly do that. Overall, we love this. It's durable, cleanable, kid and grownup friendly... a definite must.

I had bought before the suction bowls didn't work disposable mats that got expensive so I thought I would give it a try my sis in law has one and I asked her if it worked and she said yes. So far so good we went out to eat and it really stayed put on the table. Am glad because some disposable matts the tape around it in some restaurants it won't stick to it. So this has worked perfect would definitely recommend

This is a great product when eating out. It sticks to the table and collects the food before it falls on the floor. I would recommend this to any parent with infants or toddlers.

I was really excited about this eating mat. It works so well in restaurants - sticks to the table and you don't have to worry about plates falling off the table or your child eating off a table that may not be clean. I love it!

Looked cheap with a stain upon arrival. Warped and have never laid flat on the table. Tray flips up into my sons face.

I purchased two of these in the past and loved them. They kept both my daughter and the table/floor clean. I used to just throw them in the dishwasher to clean and did not have any problems. I recently purchased a new one and the plastic material seems to have changed. The dishwasher completely ruined the placemat to the point it is unusable. I wish I had known about the change. If you do not mind handwashing, I do recommend them but still like the old material better. Personally, I rely on my dishwasher and will be looking for a new option.

We bought this to use for eating out so our daughter could feed herself and not eat off dirty restaurant tables. In theory this product is great, in execution, not so much. The suctions cups worked everywhere we tried them, but my daughter kept pulling on the tray and it kept getting caught on her...also the center of it sagged pretty bad unless you kept it rolled up 24/7 and things would just spill right out of it. The spill tray tore and we ended up cutting it off...I know, negates the purpose. The mat also stains very badly but it does clean off well. It's sad we can't use this out.

It folds up nicely to make it easy to take anywhere, but the suction cups don't stick to all surfaces. This makes using it difficult as it doesn't lay flat on the table on it's own.

I love this product, we took it on vacation and use it when eating out with our 10 mo old son. Wish I would have had it for my now 2 year old. However, there are some definite flaws. The suction cups on the back do not stick to all table surfaces. After being rolled up, some of the suction cups won't stay stuck at all. Also, the tray that hangs down to catch food pieces rarely works because my son finds it facinating to pull it up dumping whatever happened to make its way in there in the first place.

we used disposable eating mats previously. My daughter would rip them off the table for fun. She leaves this one alone since it's suctioned down.

This is a fantastic product for eating out at restaurants when you don't want your toddler eating off a dirty table. It also helps to keep the food in front of the child and not ending up on the floor. Can't live without it.

Love, love love!! We use a booster seat at the table and this tray keeps the table protected and the tray is awesome! Very easy to clean and durable. Don't know how I lived without this before! The suction cups are great but do not stick to every table finish as we learned at a restaurant recently. A great baby shower gift for new moms.

When I pulled this out at a restaurant a friend rolled her eyes and told me I had just purchased a virtually useless item. She was pretty much right. Because it is stored rolled up, I could never get the thing to lay flat or to stick to any table we ever used. My son kept picking it up and flinging it on the floor.
