This item is easy to install and VERY useful if you live in an older home which has bathroom switch plates up high. (Even when I have an almost 4 yr old, who is in the 97th percentil for height-- he can't reach the light!) This little piece of plastic is easy to install and fits over your regular switch plate. Slide it up or down and you're in business. He loves it and is able to use the bathroom all by himself without me having to come in and turn the light on/off anymore. Thanks One Step Ahead!

the best money i have ever spent on kid related item. this was the key to rounding out the potty training for my son. it gave him the independance he needed to use the potty every time!!! hands down an excellent product!

My son (22months) decided to become scared of the dark about a month before I bought these. I have bought different night lights...some that plug into the wall, one to sit on his night stand, one that he can carry around and none of them worked. This is the best thing I've bought for this problem. I have it in his room as well as mine. He runs into the rooms and turns it on and off. It glows in the dark so he can see it when he gets up in the middle of the night.[...]

This is the most amazing product. It is very simple to install and makes my little one feel like a big girl. Wonderful now that she is potty training, she can turn the light on herself. We have one on almost every switch in our house. Nice thing is that the adult can still use the switch because the product doesn't get in the way. Love It!!

I love the kid switch! Now that my three year old can turn lights on and off by herself I don't have to stop doing what I'm doing to turn the lights on in the bathroom. Plus it makes her feel like a "big" girl now.

my son is almost 2 1/2 years old. he loves the kidswitch. he can turn the light on all by himself, which helps me out a lot. he feels like a "big kid", because he can turn the light on by himself. it was so easy to install and it's one of the greatest inventions ever!!! if you have a toddler, then order some of these. i ordered 2 so far and may need to order more. enjoy!

I installed 2 of these light switches. 1 in my daughters room and 1 in the bathroom. No more getting up or rushing to the bathroom before an accident. She can so it by herself. I even bought more for the rest of the house! I love that it lights up in the dark so it is easy to find. It really has been helping out with the scared of the dark phase that my toddler is in. It was easy for my not-so-handy husband to install.

I said it was difficult to install. ONLY if you have designer light switch plate covers. This product did not work in my child's room because of that. And I wasn't about to put the original switch plates back on just to install this product. But it did work in the bathroom just fine and I really do like it. I really wish I could have installed it in their bedroom. If you have flat switch plates then it is very easy to install.

I bought this product for my daughter when she started heading to the bathroom by herself (around 2 yrs old). She didn't like that the bathroom was dark and the switch is too high for her to reach. She LOVES this extender. She can turn on and off the light by herself. It is flexible enough that she pulls it away a little, and it hasn't broken (I did warn her not to pull or else it might break). I will be buying more of these (for her bedroom and for friends).

We have been looking for ways to make our 3 year old more independent since baby#2 will be here soon. He loves this, he can use the powder room downstairs all on his own now and it glows in the dark so you don't need a night light too. Has been installed about 2 weeks and no problems(even though he likes just turning it off and on ten times in a row!)

This is a great invention for children who love to play in and out of their rooms! Now my kids can turn the lights on and off without always asking for me to help them! Great way to teach independence and responsibility (to turn the lights off as they leave the room.)
