After taking the time to assemble this workbench, we were excited to play but quickly realized it is a bit flimsy. During assembly, several of the screw-tight attachments were faulty and broke upon being turned. We made the best of it rather than packing it back-up to return, but shouldn't have. Within two months the drawer had completely fallen apart. In order to return, we had to take it apart and box it again. Not convenient. On the bright side, the tools are fun.

Adorable & sturdy workbench. Made mostly from MDF, thus VERY heavy. Lots of storage for other tools. Pieces were manufactured very well and directions were fairly good. We were missing a piece and OSA customer service was excellent, sending the piece asap and saving Christmas! Worth the $!

Well made, sturdy toy, went together fine in about an hour and a half, a lot of pieces but just take your time and follow the pictures, all parts were individually numbered as were the screw sets, no problems with assembly.

We gave this tool bench to our grandson for his 2nd birthday. He was thrilled with it. The tool bench is very durable and kept him occupied for a long time. My husband would complain (with good reason) that it was very difficult to assemble and very heavy to transport. Overall, we were very pleased with our selection.

once you get it together, its so cute and loads of fun. It is heavy but so worth the price...not a cheap little bench. the only things thats cheap is the plastic tools it comes with

This took my husband and I an hour to put together - and it would have taken me much longer on my own... but it was worth the time because is is adorable! My son is only 9 months but pulling himself up on everything, and he already loves this tool bench. He isn't tall enough to actively play on the bench, but he reaches up and pulls down his tools and loves to open and close the cabinet. I'm sure he will grow into this "toy" and enjoy it for many years. It is much more attractive than any plastic tool bench I've come across. The ONLY negative thing I have to say is that the product had a strange smell to it, but we wiped down all of the parts with Lysol wipes and that did wonders. Thank you One Step Ahead for yet another quality product!

Great gift for my 3 year old nephew. My 16 month old little girl liked playing with it too before we wrapped it and gave it to her cousin!

We got this for our 3 year old and 18 month old sons. It is a very high quality toy with cute features, such as drawers, chalk board, roll of paper ect. A little smaller than I expected. The other downfall is that it has great tools, but no "projects". So there are no "wood" pieces to work with and nothing for the kids to screw, bolt, or nail together. For the amount of money I would expect a little more.

Our son loves this bench and it is very sturdy. Overall is is very cute and detailed and thus takes a few hours to put together. Don't be lured in by the closeups that show the frame and vice being made of real wood. This bench is primarily mdf with laminate with a few wood accents. I can't believe I am the first person that noticed this and I was very disappointed since it was not as represented. However, my son doesn't seem to mind! I would definitely recommend this item but only if the description was changed so it was not so misleading. This is not a "wooden" bench.

We bought this for our 4 year old son for Christmas. It took my husband and step dad less than an hour to construct it. This thing is all wood and feels very sturdy, and it looks really nice. It is much nicer than a lot of the plastic ones I've seen.

My son really loves it. He loves all the little drawers and compartments, and he really loves the chalkboard.

We also have a 9 month old son, and I know this will last until he's old enough to enjoy it, too. Great buy!

My husband has built cabins, sheds and other outdoor buildings from scratch. Any less experience as a carpenter, and he would not have been able to follow the sketchy instructions or to figure out how to build this workbench! He is also exceptionally smart (Ph.D.) and also has ample tools, so he was able to drill holes where they were needed but not drilled and able to substitute pieces from his own supplies for ones that the company neglected to include in the packaging for this workbench. It took over 8 full hours to assemble, and that was by a person who has assembled many complicated toys for grandchildren!

If you have a toddler who likes to hammer and "fix" things - this is the best thing out there. It's very high quality, durable, fun, and ADORABLE, not to mention offers lots of storage for all the tools. I bought this for my 2 yr old and his reaction upon seeing it Christmas morning was priceless. He insisted on napping with his saw later that day. Wish it came with a plastic piece of wood to saw and more screws and pieces to assemble, but overall it's a great addition to any playroom. It looks a lot more expensive than what we paid for it.
