Wooden Food Set

My 17 month old is always under foot in the kitchen, so we wanted to get her her own play kitchen. Most of them have too many bells & whistles and are just too big for her. This is perfect. We got her some play pots & pans and food, and she loves to open and close the cabinet and oven, taking things in and out. Not only was this a better deal price-wise, I actually prefer that it isn't overly jazzed up...the simplicity of everything lets her imagination do the work.

We always supervise her when playing and have noticed two potential safety issues. I don't think she could get seriously injured with this piece, because it is light weight, but she has knocked her forehead on the front of it while peering in the oven (not much you can do about that), and it is also light enough for her to push around on the hardwood floors. We try and keep it on the carpeted areas, but are keeping our eyes open for rubber "feet" to keep it in one place. It could also tip over pretty easily if she were to try and climb on it.

She loves to put these items in her new grocery cart...

Bought both sets for my 2 1/2 year old for christmas. She loves them and they hold up so much better than the cheap plastic food you get from other places. Great Product! I'm sure we will have them for years to come which is hard to say with kids toys now days.

These are great for kids that can play house or grocery store. If you have a child that throws these aren't for you as it will hurt or break something. I had the fridge set already and wanted to complete it with the other wooden pantry set so we could play with non plastic toys that wont squash or have a cheap plastic label that kids like to rip off.

Got this for the 18 month old to accompany the new kitchen set. She loves the food and I love the fact that it is not plastic and is very durable.

My 28 month old uses these for pretend play. She loves them so much I just ordered the fridge set. She enjoys putting them in and out of her pantry, oven or fridge. She likes to stack them, count them and feed the whole family. Great quality, very durable and hours of fun. Great buy compared to other products which break down easily.
