Wooden Barn Latch Box

Item #: 22590

We couldn't find a beautifully-made wood latch box that didn't cost a small fortune, so we created our own! Its six intriguing doors keep curious fingers busy, and kids can store small toys inside. Play put and take, carry it around. Makes a charming, portable toy barn, too. We've seen plain wood lock boxes that cost $75 and up, yet offer less play value. Great coordination toy. For ages 2 and up. Designed by OneStepAhead!

Comments about Guidecraft Wooden Barn Latch Box:

We bought this for my 20 month old son because he is really interested in latches and working on how to open and close things. He LOVES it! My favorite is how he puts items in it and can carry them around to show me later. A few of the latches are tricky for him to open but that will just make it last longer and it is a bit heavy for him right now but he can certainly manage it. I think it is great for fostering independence!

Comments about Guidecraft Wooden Barn Latch Box:

Who needs to teach their child to open locks? Locks are to keep children out of things they are not supposed to reach. The locks are real, large, heavy, and bulky. This should be reserved for people who have lost dexterity and need to practice. This would be superb in an Occupational Clinical setting, but NOT for children. I will be returning it.

Comments about Guidecraft Wooden Barn Latch Box:

This is very heavy for a little one. Wasn't impressed with the quality especially for the price! Some of the doors didn't open very easy and one of the lock is hard to open. Return - for the price is wasn't worth it. I will have someone make this for me.
