Ulti-Mite Twin Umbrella Stroller

Item #: 22112

We combined the ease and affordability of a double umbrella stroller with the quality and luxury of a high-end twin stroller! Our sturdy, zippy, double stroller features a wider seat, reclining seatback, and removable parent's tray. Plus, we gave it large, all-terrain wheels for maneuverability and raised the parent's handles for more comfortable pushing. And we upgraded from the three-point harnesses found on many umbrella strollers to safer, more secure, five-point harnesses. Great for travel, with a one-hand fold and handy carry strap. Weighs 22 lbs.; each seat supports up to 45 lbs.(that's 5 lbs. more than many others). Imported. Designed by OneStepAhead!

Comments about One Step Ahead Ulti-mite Twin Umbrella Stroller:

We bought this stroller for our 2 yo and 3 1/2 yo b/c our old double stroller (front and back style) was getting way too hard to steer. Even though they weigh over 50 pounds combined, it's very easy to move. It also appears very comfortable for both of them and easy for them to get in/out. It's simple to fold up and is very compact for a double. The baskets, cup holders and parent bags are also very convenient. The only negative I've found so far is the sun visors aren't very large so it only shades the kids heads and when the stroller is folded up, the sun visors don't appear to latch onto the stroller so it's a bit awkward to transport. When we received our 1st stroller, there was a small defective part, I wrote the company, they immediately shipped out a new one with a return label, extremely prompt and helpful! Great buy!

Comments about One Step Ahead Ulti-mite Twin Umbrella Stroller:

Thank you, One Step Ahead! I have been searching for a lightweight stroller with taller handles and I didn't think one existed until I found this. My husband and I are both tall and were very uncomfortable pushing our old umbrella stroller.

I love the cup holders and storage. The carrying strap is also great.

You cannot find a better lightweight stroller for the price. I am much happier with this than a much more expensive stroller I own.

Comments about One Step Ahead Ulti-mite Twin Umbrella Stroller:

I got this just a couple weeks ago but I'm already so glad I got it. I bought it for my 3 year old and 15 month old. I was tired of lugging out my bigger double and wanted something little and easier and this fits the bill. We walk most everywhere and I find this easy to push and handle and have zero complaints.

Comments about One Step Ahead Ulti-mite Twin Umbrella Stroller:

I bought this stroller about a year ago for an airplane trip cross country for my one year old twins. It handled really good for the trip, although we left the sunshade at home. It was easy to get through security checks at airport and was easy to push to get to our gates. It's a great stroller for travel.

I had never purchased a double umbrella stroller before and found the selection limited. This stroller had it all: good storage, holder for drinks/keys/phone, sun shade, was tall enough to push easily, had good turning radius and solid wheels. Most umbrella strollers are pretty bare bones and look flimsy. Having used this stroller for almost a year it has delivered good performance overall. The cons are that the wheels stick occasionally, the parking break is hard to close/open, and the sunshade is pretty useless, but it's a quality stroller and a very good value!

Comments about One Step Ahead Ulti-mite Twin Umbrella Stroller:

I wish there was an option for NO stars. I purchased this stroller in September of 2012 to take on vacation with my 1 and 2 year old children. Luckily, we tried the stroller before we left for vacation and the wheels didn't move correctly. I was so completely disappointed but called customer service and they promplty sent new wheels. The problem is the new wheels now don't work either. I would personally expect more than six months use from a stroller. We have another more sturdy stroller we use for everyday use so this stroller has not had much use at all. The last time we tried to use it, we put both children in it and all of our belongings and then had to remove everything because it would not wheel down the sidewalk. This is the worst investment I have ever made and I wish I had not bought it. I do not usually write reviews but I'd like other parents to be made aware of the problems with this stroller. I have bought other wonderful products from One Step Ahead, but this is a terrible stroller.

I use this (since it's winter and we don't stroller through the snow) while I'm shopping. My 5month old twins love to be able to see everything while we're shopping, and it's easier to maneuver than 2 shopping carts. Plus, it's lightweight enough and compact enough to get in and out if the van easily.

I bought this stroller specific to take my 4months twin boys for their everyday walks. I love it. The wheels are a bit shaky but i try to walk on concrete only. My boys love it, it reclines enough for them to enjoy their walk. I also had to buy an extra organizer since i did not like the cupholders it came with, but that was no big deal for me!

Comments about One Step Ahead Ulti-mite Twin Umbrella Stroller:

So disappointed in this stroller. It just barely fits through most standard doorways, but we've gotten stuck several times in non-ADA compliant doorways. The wheel axel broke 2 weeks after we got it. The replacement wheels then broke soon after they arrived. We sent the whole thing back and the new one broke exactly the same way 3 weeks later. We are not excessively hard on strollers. We have a diferent hand-me-down double stroller that has been through 2 families before us and is great. The sun shade is pretty worthless, and the stroller can't be folded unless the shade is removed. I threw away the box it came in, so return shipping was really difficult and expensive. Now it sits in my garage with the second set of replacement wheels on it just mocking us for our stupidity for throwing away the box.

Perfect on days i have my 1 year old son and 5 month old nephew. Love the small storage area above each seat-easy to organize which sippy cup belongs to which child! easy to maneuver- lightweight. very adjustable- reclines only a very little. Occasionally can be difficult to fold up as the pull forward and up foot release sticks sometimes- hard to fold up without supportive shoes. Great for in the mall and to get to library storytime- fits through doors fairly easily. Love this item and would recommend to anyone looking for a high end umbrella stroller- u will not be happy if you are expecting more than an umbrella stroller.

Twin 1 year old boys love the stroller so much they fight over who gets in first and cry when it is folded and put away. They even like to sit in it at home (between distractions). Unfortunately, one of the seats had a defective seatbelt/harness that would not snap closed, which was dangerous for a rambunctious baby who jumped out while riding one afternoon. Fortunately, he was not hurt and when I called to complain, One Step Ahead staff sent out a new stroller immediately. Very courteous. I did not have to pay fees or return shipping & the new one arrived within five days. Very quick. The new one works great. No problems. Stroller is needed for regular use. Because the boys enjoy sitting in it, running errands is a lot easier. I am no longer frazzled from chasing after two little ones in public. They can run fast.

Comments about One Step Ahead Ulti-mite Twin Umbrella Stroller:

I was wanting a stroller for my twins that was side-to-side, bigger than the $7 single strollers that I got from a retail store one day (horrible idea that was), and not too big when folded! My husband is tall and he didn't think that any stroller other than the front-to-back kind that held their carseat carriers would be tall enough. He also loves this stroller! It folds up to a great size and is quick and easy to open/fold. I'm still getting used to the wideness of it as I go through doors in public, but it fits easily through most without a problem (that just goes along with having twins...everything is bigger or heavier)!

This stroller is lightweight and easy to fold/unfold. Unfortunately, it is very awkward to push. We purchased this as our trunk stroller for travel, and on the first use the plastic buckle broke when trying to adjust the length of the chest strap and on the second use the wheel fell off mid-stroll. Needless to say, we've returned this stroller.

My stroller came quickly but when reading the instructions, they state you must remove canopy to fold. My primary use was for getting 6 month and 14 month old grandkids into my 41/2 year old grand daughter's preschool "quickly" in the bad weather. The canopy snaps on fairly easily but I don't want to have to mess with it every time I need it. So, as much as I loved almost everything about this stroller due to this one thing it has to go back :(
