I so wanted this product to be great, but it just isn't. The bands are very rigged so they're awkward to bend around your child's wrist. Once you get them on, the adhesive that holds the bands together is weak and they fall off very easily (the first one we tried didn't last 5 minutes!) If the slightest bit of lotion gets on the adhesive it's ruined. I ended up tying the band to my bikini bottom and just monitoring it as a sign to reapply. Sadly waste of money and waste of effort. DON'T BUY THEM!

Best thing ever for the beach. Most people don't understand the whole sunscreen thing and this makes it easy. You can't just slap on sunscreen and go all day. It doesn't last very long. This tells you when to reapply. THis is my 3rd time using the product and it works SO GREAT. I have mothers always asking me where I got it so they can go get it too. Wonderful little helper for moms everywhere.

The wrist bands didn't stay on my daughters wrist long enough to make it out the front door so I can't comment on how well they work at the pool.

As a first time mom that loves the sun but doesn't want to fry her child, I was excited about the potential that this item had. On our first day of the season, I grabbed the package, pulled out a band and tried to get it on my 16 mo olds wrist. Unfortunately the adhesive isn't strong enough to hold the band together even before my son tried to pull it apart. They definitely need to fix this!

1) already had changed colors when i got the package.. poor sealing and had to dispose of 2 bracelets2) velcro closure system doesn't actually stay on. I wore one as well as my daughter when we went to the aquarium.. she had hers off in minutes and mine just randomly fell off at some point during the day.

Followed instuctions and the girls never burned at all. We reapplied when the band changed. We were at the beach and the pool in 98+ degree weather. Faith our 3 yr. old grand daughter liked being responsible for watching for the color change. We didn't put them on her 6 month old sister but we could have they were that easy.

Applied the sunscreen as instructed. Faith, my Granddaughter, helped watch for the color to change. The bands never came off her 3 yr. old wrist and she never burned. We didn't put it on her 6 month old sister but they were together in the sun at the beach and the pool for hours in 98+ degree weather. Great product. Will buy again next summer.

I thought these would be a great idea to help protect my 15 month old at the beach. The double stick tape didn't last and it seemed like it took many hours for the color to fade to indicate to reapply. I found myself reapplying after a few hours on my own because the color never changed. Maybe they would stick better if they actually made them like hospital bands that snap on.

This seems like a good product in theory - you wrap the bands around your child's wrist, you apply sunscreen, it lets you know when you need to re-apply. Unfortunately, it's not nearly as useful when you can't get the wristbands on! The ends of the wristbands are supposed to attach, but either there is not nearly enough adhesive, or what's there isn't strong enough!

I didn't have the kids out for too long, and I typically wear a watch with an alarm to remind me to reapply sunscreen every hour at least, but this was an additional tool that gave me a little extra peace of mind. I would definitely use these again...especially helpful when dad or someone else is with the kids.

First of all, I found this product by chance the week before my daughter and I were going on a beach vacation. The description online said the wristband could be tossed away at end of the day, but did not specify if it could be re-used. Trying to determine if I wanted to buy 2 packets of these [...]I ordered just one packet. As soon as I received the product and read the instruction on the packet, I was disappointed; it specifically says "use only one band a day...." I concluded that I'd let my daughter wear the wristband, and we'd both apply/re-apply sunscreen when her wristband indicated the need.Well, not so lucky with this band. My second problem with this wristband... The adhesive was useless for holding the ends together; honestly, the ends could not even stay together long enough for me to finish applying sunscreen on my daughter. When this happened the first time, I thought perhaps the sunscreen spray got on the adhesive (i.e. seeped between the ends) when I was applying the mist along her arms. So, the 2nd time, I put the band on the strap of her swimsuit with the ends somewhat "protected" by the fabric; that still did not help, and the band still sprang open. Besides, the instruction does not say whether one has to use the lotion vs. spray type of sunscreen for this band to work.The third problem... The wristband (now sprang open) covered with sunscreen (Banana Boat Ultra Defense SPF85) never turned completely purple when exposed to sunlight, as the instruction said it should. The best I could see were slight blotchy small areas of lavender purple. Re-applying sunscreen to the band (as if when it's time to re-apply sunscreen in normal use) did not help at all. In less than an hour from the start, the "APPLY SUNSCREEN TO THIS SIDE" label was already fading away. This last problem really made me wonder if the packet I received was defective? or expired? or something fishy?For these reasons, I am only giving 1 star for the idea behind the product; it's a good idea, but unfortunately the product itself wasn't, in my experience. At this time, I am not sure if it's worthwhile sending the remainder of the packet back for return/refund, since I will have to pay for return postage.

Finally I don't have to worry about how much sun is too much! These little bracelets are the best!!! Stays on in the pool and even in the ocean!

I bought these to use when I took my family to Disney World. There was so much to think about, I hoped this would help me to stop thinking about what time it was, was it time to re apply sunscreen...and it did! I didn't have to worry about watching the clock. I have very fair skin, and didn't get any burn! My whole family benifited from these!

Was looking forward to using these on the beach with my 14 month old baby boy. Followed the instructions and the wristband DID NOT stay on. Tried a second one and still no luck.
Ended up throwing the rest of the pack away at the hotel in California!
Waste of money!
