We purchased this sandbox for our 19 month old daughter there is little shade in our backyard so we really wanted something with a canopy. It is a little smaller than the picture but could easily fit 2 or 3 kids playing, our daughter loves it and it is really nice looking

This is the second sandbox we have purchased for our grandchildren...The first 2 years ago for our twin grandsons who are now 4....it has been a favorite for them....many hours of play. I did notice that the wood or finish is starting to wear...it stays out all winter....I thought maybe they should paint it to match the house....the most recent purchase was for my 18 month old granddaughter...she, too is enjoying it a lot....runs to it when outside.....a super purchase with lots of playing hours...

We bought this sandbox for my 3 year old son after having bad luck with the sandbox under our playset. Assembly estimates 90 minutes or so, and that is accurate. There is ample storage space for various toys (monster trucks, dinosaurs, sand toys, etc..) which helps with clean up. The sandbox cover is a mesh fabric, and not a plastic cover. This was surprising to me, but it works out just fine. When we have rain the sand is wet...but sometimes wet sand is more fun for building structures anyway. :) There is also ample seating along the outside which allows grown ups to play without rolling around in the sand with the tots. I'm able to perch on the side and play very comfortably. The canopy looks to be a little flimsy, but we've had a few thunderstorms since purchasing the sandbox and it has held up just fine. I don't remember the exact number of sandbags it suggested, but we ended up using 16 or so. We like it filled to the brim. So far so good. Well worth the money. And it looks cute aside our driveway.

We were looking to find a sandbox that both our boys could comfortably play in. It is big enough for both kids to be in at the same time & they love to play in it. It was pretty difficult to put together (the instructions are not the best). The cover is very flimsy. If you have cats or other small animals in your area, they could very easily get in and out. I wish the cover was more sturdy, but other than that, pretty happy with the purchase.

Once the box was opened and sorted, it took about 1.5 hours to put together. The instructions were clear and assembly went well. The #2 piece had two seperate splits, one 6" and the other 8" along the bottom edge, probably caused by putting the screw in. Piece #13 had an 8" split that was probably there before it was worked on along the bottom edge. Another piece had about an 18" splinter gouged from the bottom edge. None of these affected its construction, so we went ahead. Really liked the plastic liner to keep the sand drained. The seats are helpful and the storage below the seats is a great tool for teaching the kids to put away their sand toys (out of the mower's way). Love the mesh cover to keep cats and leaves out. The grands (4 and 3 years old) settled in for three hours of happy play.
