I read many reviews about the poor construction of this item so I was skeptical at first so I waited until this item was on sale. I did have trouble with my first shipment, since one of the chairs would not lock into position.

After calling One Step Ahead, they sent me another one, which has had no problem at all. Packaging could have been better -- both boxes were beat up pretty bad (cheap box inventory, perhaps?).

Overall, I like this product... but just get it on sale. If on sale, I think the hassle of the return/exchange is worth it.

I ordered this product for a trip to the beach with my children (ages 3 and 18 months). While the chair/umbrella was really cute and a very useful concept for my children at their ages, the construction of the product was poor (e.g. screws fell out, flimsy construction). I order often from One Step Ahead, so I was surprised at the lack of quality for this product. Having said that, the company's products overall are great! I guess just a poorly constructed one here - even though I really think the idea is great for small children, sun protection, a place to rest, etc.

A little tricky to lock in to place but once I figured it out it was ok. I did receive a broken one but customer service was great about the exchange:)

We took it to the beach and it was perfect! The kids had a place to rest in the shade and it stayed in place. I've had my eye on this product for a while and was waiting for it to go down in price. Once it did I ordered it and I'm glad I did.

My kids (1 & 3) love this double chair! And I love the color! Easy to haul & lightweight. We've used it camping, at the beach, etc.

Screw in arm of chair fell out on first use. Everything else was good and kids loved its size appropriateness.

I have 4 granddaughters...and they all enjoy these seats and umbrella when they come to my house. great product and very durable

This product was of poor quality it broke the first time I used it. Would not recommend this product.

I have bought items from One Step Ahead in the past and have never had a problem until now. Unfortunately I did not read the reviews before buying this cute chair. Mine arrived last week. The bag it came in was dirty, one of the chairs has this same brown dirt stain all over it and the white material is all frayed. It looks a mess or as if someone already used it. I was so excited for it to arrive and now we can't even use it.

I love this chair set! I take it to every t-ball game my older son has. My younger daughter and son love their chair and it protects them from the sun!

Got a discount on chairs because they won't lock without assistance of a paint can opener! but they are so cute we will make it work. I hope the manufactorer can get this fixed!

Nice chairs & the umbrella is great but the construction/assembly is poor. There are two locking mechanisms to keep the chair open but they are extremely flimsy and can easily be knocked loose with the slightest pressure. They barely catch and one of the poles was installed at the wrong angle so only one of our locking mechanisms has a chance to catch.

Bought this last summer and have used it for parades, the beach, and the pond. My kids love it. They are 2 and 3 1/2 now. The only negative that I have is getting it to open fully. It's difficult. At home they have their own separte chairs for the deck but this is great to take out.
