Bought for UPF50+, and to go with a swimsuit. Loved that it was soft and cottony and not nylon rash guard material. Unfortunately, the qualities that I liked about it mean that when it does get wet, it dries very slowly, and is somewhat heavy. Great for t-shirt wear apart from water activities!

Great shirts! Our 14 month old wore his shirt in the pool, great protection from the sun and light weight! They do run a bit larger then the size your little one normally wears so keep that in mind. Our 14 month old wears a 18 month shirt normally, I ordered that size and it ended up being too big..I wrote customer service and they sent me a 12 month right away, no questions asked! I even got it next day in the mail!! Great, Great, Great customer service! Will do business again!!!

First, I love that these shirts are UV resistant. (Though I'd be curious to know how/if washing breaks down that protection...) My son (2.5 yrs old) really enjoys the logo on the shirt and chose to wear it over other shirts in his drawer.

I purchased a larger size based on some other comments about this maybe running small. (I got 3T and 4T for him, since he's at the edge of most 2T things now and figuring we could probably use them next summer too.) They fit plenty big on him. So I don't see such a "runs small" concern as others have. Perhaps my expectation was different.

The only down side is that it seems easily stretched out. Maybe it's just my son, but he has done a lot of pulling out at the bottom of the shirt - stretching it up/out, over his head, etc. It's not deformed (at least not yet), but I worry that all his stretching of the shirt will leave it looking funny. We've only had it/used it a few weeks, and it's still in good shape, but that's the only concern I have.

Even with that, I'm glad we have these shirts to help protect him when he plays outside.

These summer shirts are true to size. They are holding up well. My grandson loves the bright green color.

I thought these were swim shirts. Don't quite understand the point. The material is too heavy to be worn in hot weather and doesn't work as a swim shirt. Misleading description.

For a shirt that is UPF I would have thought it'd be more like swimsuite material. It's very heavy for a summer shirt on a hot day.

I got this shirt for my 3 year old who needs to be protected by the sun at all times. My son is taller then other kids so I ordered a size 5. The shirt is wide enough but pretty short for a size 5 on a 3 year old.

It's a cute shirt/design and thick fabric is good for UV protection. However, after the first couple washes I noticed it losing it's shape and that trend has continued. It shrunk upwards and became very square shaped and loose fitting.

I bought these for my 1 and 4 year old boys. They were so thick my 4 year old refused to wear it.

This shirt is cute, but runs huge. I bought ths and the shark rash guard in 18mo size for my 10 mo ols son, who is big for his age. The rash guard fits great, but this shirt looks like a dress on him. Too bad. Has to go back.

I have found (after buying two years in a row, they do shrink up and seem to get wider after washing, and they do not appear to be stain-resistant. Washable paints at pre-school do not come out. They are made well and do not fall apart. The colors stay (no bleeding) and hold their color (no fading).
