we have another conair sound machine we use all the time that we like very much. wanted another one for when she stays at grandmas.. on this one the volume doesnt go very loud at all, though the sounds are very nice.

I had this sound machine forever and it just recently got dropped and broke, so I am buying a new one. It is great because you can plug it in if there's an outlet, or you can use AA batteries if there's nowhere to plug it in. We have used it for travel as well. It's awesome!

Ok, I bought this sound machine from Leaps and Bounds because I've always been happy with their products, but not this one. It's loudest setting isn't anywhere NEAR loud enough! This sound machine doesn't cover up any sounds from my house let alone outside as our previous sound machine did. Not happy with this, needs MORE volume.

I looked at several sound machines, as I use one myself and it helps me sleep well. My son is almost 2 yrs old and he has been sleeping with this sound machine since he was born. He loves it! I turn it on, along with a cd of soft music and he knows it's bedtime. At 3 months old, he has been sleeping for 12 hrs at night! Can't wait to try it on the new baby. I just use the rain control, bc it sounds alot like white noise...which i like. I am able to easily pack it on trips as well. The only neg is the volume. I have read other complaints ab this. Wish they would fix that.

This has been a fantastic buy, i have one for each of my kids rooms. It helps them sleep longer and through whatever noise is going on in the house.

I have been using a noisemaker with my girls and wanted to try this one. It's way too quiet. Doesn't block out any noise. I ended up putting a fan in my daughter's room and that is louder than this noisemaker! It's got good options, but what does that matter if it's too soft?! Not glad I purchased this.

I wrote a 5Star review for this ONE YEAR AGO-when my daughter was one, now she is TWO and it is STILL GOING STRONG!!! AND I HAVE IT ON NON-STOP!!!! I never ever turn it off...what QUALITY!!!! We bring it when we travel for consistency. My daughter napped FOUR HOURS when until she was two, now at two she NAPS THREE HRS!! (Many of my friends 2 yr olds don't nap at all...so=)
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Highly recommend this for those having trouble sleeping - this helped our 10 month old, and he's 2 now and still loves it! I agree the volume should be available a bit higher - especially if you have to set it across the room, but it is good enough. My son loves all the primary sounds for sleeping, except womb. Plus, he loves to play with the machine when we are changing his diaper (the only thing that keeps him still). All our buttons worked fine.

Great idea - but falters on a number of levels.

1) NOT LOUD ENOUGH - I use it in conjunction with the Sleep Sheep, which is louder, but doesn't stay on all night.
2) The buttons don't work that well, you have to push hard and they seem unresponsive.
3) The only sound setting that makes any sense is "Rain".

It's just ok.

I love that you can plug it in or use batteries for constant sound all night. It has even helped me sleep more than my son. House sounds and my husband coming to bed do not wake me or my son up anymore. I do wish it had a music sound because my son likes that. The brook and rain are the only 2 true constant sounds that don't fluctuate at all which keeps you asleep better. I bought one for my mom's house too!

I enjoy the ocean sound so much and thankfully that button works. Not all the buttons work so I am unable to experience all the sounds. The volume buttons do not work well either. I have another sound machine that the buttons work fine on, but the sounds of that one are not as soothing as the ocean sound on this one. I would recommend this to a friend and hope that theirs functions better.

Nice calming white noise sounds for helping baby fall asleep and stay asleep for a longer nap. Some of the sound combinations are strange Ie Womb and seagull? You can pick and choose a single sound ( which is what I do), pick two or make them cycle randomly. I found playing one sound was the most effective. The ocean sound is working the best so far. The 60 min time out is nice but my baby wakes up when it goes off so I just leave it on and let her wake up when she is ready.
