Crack open your sliders and let the fresh air in, without giving kids access to sliding doors and windows! We like this sliding door lock because it's easy to use: to engage the lock, flip the hinged bottom half up (it barricades the slider from opening any further). To disengage, release the lock and fold the bottom flat against the glass. Now you have full access to your sliding door or window. Easy to install; the latch is self-adhering. Bonus: it's transparent, so it blends right in. Works on glass and most other surfaces. Pack of 2. See Product Details

Great for 2 days...

Comments about Tee-Zed Sliding Door & Window Locks:
This was the greatest thing we had ever found for our sliding patio door... for about 2 days. Then my 2-year-old was able to break it off the door and get outside, unsupervised. We were singing this products praises, until we realized that the toddler had managed to break it in less than 3 days. SOMEONE INVENT SOMETHING FOR A SLIDING DOOR... I'm begging you!!!!!

I have this lock. I would not put it on a heavy sliding glass door and I would not intstall it the way the photo shows. It should open toward the the moving part of the window or door.If you window opens up, then install it horizontally, vertial for sliding side to side windows and doors. I use them on windows. I like that you can have the window partially open. You can use two. One so the window can't be opened at all and one for a partial opening. Did not have any problem with it sticking but make sure you get it level or you wont be able to get the window open if it is on an angle.
Easy to Install But Not Sturdy
By Mom of Three

Easy to install on clean glass, but you have to let the sticky part set over time first, or it will pop right off the first time you challenge it with a door.I put one on the inside of my sliding glass door, and one on the outside of the sliding glass door window, to stop the screen door from opening as well. Downside, is that you have to drop the latch from outside to open the screen door, but good idea if the screen door stays closed most of the time.

A little flimsy but has worked for us
By Jfd620
from Philadelphia
This has done the job in preventing our 1 year old from opening the sliding door. It is a little flimsy and I could see how an older child or adult would easily knock it off just by opening the door while it is engaged. Luckily our 3 year old doesn't try to open the door and we've always managed to remember to disengage it before trying to open the door. The adhesive has held for the month that we've had it but I'm not sure if it will last. But I can't complain because it has done its job this far.
5 years later still working great!
By Mel

I purchased this product 5 years ago for our sliding patio door. It has worked great ever since. We are getting ready to move into a new home with several sliders leading to a pool area. Having these on our doors will surely be a great safety feature. They are easy and quick to install. Plus it provides better security than the old fashioned stick in the door! I have and would highly recommend this to anyone with sliding doors regardless if they have children or not!

About Me Grandparent
I purchased these for a patio and sliding hall closet, the idea and concept is great, however they are a sticky back and can easily be knocked off. My daughter in law bought these too, and we think we will have to use like a scocth 3m on it to make them stay. I would not buy these again unless there was some changes made to them to make them stronger. A forceful child would have no problem knocking them off.
Great Door Lock

I love this lock as a secondary lock on our patio door.
Love it!

This is a god-send! My just-turned 2 year old learned how to not only unlock the sliding glass door, but to lift the security bar. He's pretty tall and strong, so he had no problem opening the sliding glass door and stepping out onto the deck. It was so extremely stressful. So within 2 weeks of this new feat, I looked here to find out what I could do. We found this. As soon as it came, my husband put it on the door. It's clear so it blends in perfectly. It's as simple as pulling the back of an adhesive and sticking it to the door. Took about 2 minutes to take it out of the box, and put it on. The piece of mind is unbeatable for such a simple device. It comes 2 to a box. I would definitely recommend this to any parent who has a child that likes to open sliding glass doors. It's absolutely wonderful!
Waste of money
By Grammy

Upon reading the reviews of this product, I had concerns, but the majority said it was good. The glue used is not sufficient to hold the product to the glass. I put it on my sliding glass door to keep my 2 year old grandson from being able to go out. All he had to do was slide the door to open it, and the lock came right off. It would't re-stick again once it had come off. It's a great idea, just needs to have a better way to attach. If it weren't so inexpensive, I'd return it. It comes with 2; I had the same experience with both of them. Find another way to keep your child from escaping when you're not looking.

Came off when I tried to open the door
By SD Susan

I followed the directions and let the "lock" stick to the glass for over 48 hours before using. When I pulled on the sliding door and it hit the "lock," it flew right off. I was disappointed.

Not strong enough

It wasn't strong enough to keep my 2 year old inside. One time with the door and he knocked it down.
