What fun: a talking toy TV remote sized and shaped just like yours, so it really "clicks" with toddlers! It features 24 (yes, 24!) working buttons, fun television sound effects, and even an "infrared" light to point at the TV. Educational, too: when kids press a number key, it announces the number in English, Spanish, or French. Great for role play, as well as learning number recognition and language skills. Requires 2 "AAA" batteries (included). For ages 18 months and up. A OneStepAhead Exclusive! See Product Details

Comments about One Step Ahead Silly Surfer Remote:
My 9 month old always wants the tv remote to play with and bite on. Now that he has his own remote he can do pretty much anything he wants!!!

About Me Grandparent
I noticed my 6 month old granddaughter's interest in the TV remote but did not want her gumming it thinking that might not be safe. I saw this, ordered it, got called a spoiling Grandma, but Bonnie loves it. Her Daddy loves that eventually it will help her learn to count in Spanish and French as well as English.
Best Child Remote Out There

This is the best kid remote on the market. I bought a lot in an effort to get my kids to leave the real remotes alone and none of them "fooled" them into thinking it was like the real thing. I would recommend to any parent/grandparent trying to distract their little one from the other remotes.
Grandson loves it!

About Me First Time Parent
My 11 month old absolutely loves to play with the remotes around the house. It can get a little tiring though, when he changes the channel in the middle of a program. Especially since he's figured out that pointing the remote at the tv does something. This remote makes sound and lights up and even though he still points it at the tv and pushes a button, he's not disappointed that the channel doesnt change because the remote itself makes noise. Definitely worth the price!
Excellent Fun, cool noises!

Cute Idea, but difficult to understand

I got this for my great granddaughters 1st birthday. Her parents are teaching her spanish as well as english, so I thought this would be a good tool. She will probably enjoy it for a while, but it's a little hard to understand. The French especially.

About Me Parent of Multiples (Twins etc)
My triplets like this toy and I can usually distract them from our real remotes with this. I wish the sound was clearer though, so I think it loses some of the educational value due to the muffled sound.

My 9 month old is fascinated my the real remote, so we give her this in its place....it holds her attention.

Great distratction from our REAL remote! and way more fun!the only complaint I have is that the numbers 1-6 all say 7, 8, 9 when you press them.... so my daughter now thinks that every button she presses is a 7, 8 or a 9! (If i had time I would send it back for a new one... but I never have time to go to the post office!)
Great "fake" remote
By happymommy

My daughter loves the real tv remotes and cries when we don't give them to her. We bought other kids "fake" remotes, but they did not fool her because they didn't look enough like real remotes. This one did the trick. It's the only "fake" remote that holds her attention. THANK GOODNESS!

Overall fun for my son

Overall my son enjoys it better than the more "kid" styled ones. But I wish you had to slide a switch or something to change the language. It gets changed all the time!
looks like a real remote

Bought for my 6 mos old in hopes he would leave our remote alone, no such luck. He does like to play with it but only for a few mins at a time. I like that it looks like a real remote compared to others i have seen
