Comments about One Step Ahead Sand and Water Table:

We use warm water in both sides of this table for our 21 month old little boy. It sits on our back deck and he loves it! We have not tried sand in it and have read the other reviews that mention sand may be too heavy. Once warmer weather arrives and we can run the hose for easy cleanup, we'll try a small amount of sand in one side.

Comments about One Step Ahead Sand and Water Table:

As soon as we added sand to one side of this table, the legs collapsed. Neither sand nor water are light-weight materials. This table should've been designed with stronger legs.

I expect more from One Step Ahead products and don't want to have to worry about the safety of my children so much.

Comments about One Step Ahead Sand and Water Table:

We got this sandbox/water table for the Grandkids when they visit. The water side leaked until we put a rubber ring we had in the hole before the plug was screwed back in. It holds water now. We scoop the water out after use instead of removing that plug. Tried tipping it to dump out the water and the sand dumped too. The legs collapsed but it may not have been appropriate to ask the legs to hold that weight. It is solid when upright. Don't ever expect the sand to remain dry when water is in the other side. Lots of water and sand on the floor too ... best used outside. The kids liked it but didn't spend lots of time playing with it. May skip the water in future uses and put sand in both sides.

Comments about One Step Ahead Sand and Water Table:

This is great to use during an incredibly hot summer. It's a quick backyard option for a water & sand activity. My 2 year old loves it. We purchased it to address her extra sensory needs. Whether you're a parent of a child with special or typical needs, you'll love it.

I must admit I was a little disappointed to not receive the toy cars depicted in the pictures. For some reason I assumed the cars came with the table.

Comments about One Step Ahead Sand and Water Table:

I bought this as a gift for my son's 2nd birthday. First, it was super easy to put together. No tools, everything easily snapped in place. It took less than 10 minutes.
We brought it out at the party and it was such a hit! We filled both sides with water. All of the kids, even the older kids, played with it. It was a hot day, so they loved getting wet, and the parents didn't mind 'cause it wasn't messy at all.
In fact, my son's daycare provider went out and bought one the same day to have at the daycare.
The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I can't imagine putting sand in one side...it would just turn into a giant muddy mess.

This is a great buy. We purchased it for our daughter's first birthday. Although she was a bit young for it at the time, she grew right into to it within a short time and has been loving it ever since. We live in the NW so we have found that it works best to use it as a water table in the summer months outside and a sand table in the winter months inside.

Wet sand in one side when unit suddenly collapsed when legs under sand side buckled. Unit was in hot sun around 4 PM on a 90 degree day. 2 legs bent at top where they have a bend where they are inserted into the frame. One of the legs actually had a small tear in the plastic at the bend. Feel this is a dangerous situation as the heavy sand side could injure a child if it collapsed while the child was playing at the side that collapsed. Suggest never using a whole bag of sand and filling other side with water. We will sit the unit flat on the ground w/o using legs or build a wooden support to fully support the weight of the unit with sand and water.
