Great product. Many combinations can be made with changing the plates around. It is great for traveling, very much self contained. Durable, it's been dropped from a great height onto a hard surface and survived. Only con is that the crayon to rub the design is soft so it smudges. Easy remedy, peel and old crayon and use it instead.

This was given as a stocking stuffer! My daughter opened it first and had to play with it right away (for 8 solid minutes with a pile of other presents waiting to be opened). It's been great while waiting in doctors offices, resturants and just before dinner at home. It's so compact it fit right in my purse. We just bring along other colored pencils because it only comes with four. Nothing bad to say about it and can't beat the price! Happy fashion creating!

I got this because I had the original fashion plates when I was a kid. The original was much larger-not the travel size. This is NOT like the original. My daughter played with this for an hour, but got very frustrated as the pictures she created were often missing the heads of the models because the crayon didn't fit correctly in the tracing area. I ended up having the free-hand draw all the heads on the models she created. A letdown of a gift!

My daughter loves this product, which I purchased to take on a road trip. It keeps her entertained at home, so hopefully it will do the same on the road. The major downside is that the storage drawer for the plates is sort of flimsy and comes out often.

I loved this product when I was younger and wanted my daughter to experience the same joy I did. However, the travel size fashion plates do not offer the complete experience because there are no texture plates. Also, the styles are the exact same styles I played with in the late 70s, early 80s. It's time to update the plates!!! The product was nostalgic for me, but uninspiring for my daughter. I'll be searching for a more up-to-date version that includes updated styles and texture plates (important to learn). This is more of a collector's item than a toy.

Was excited to purchase this for my daughter since I had a version of it went I was growing up. Both I and my daughter were disappointed. The black "crayon" that you use to rub over the surface gives a sloppy transfer. The paper moves which is very difficult for kids to have a clean picture to color in. My daughter lasted 15 minutes with it, then forgot about it. Not worth the purchase.

This is very similar to the one I had as a child. My daughter just loves it, but was out of paper after her first time using. Now I am stuck with trying to find more mini sized pieces of paper for her to use with it.

I also agree, the drawer is VERY hard to open and close, my daughter cannot do it on her own. Even my younger sister couldn't open it.

I had one of these as a kid and loved so I thought it would be a great stocking stuffer for my 6 year old. She loved it and went through the papers pretty quickly. My only con is that the design of the storage drawer is a little flimsy and hard to get in there just right. Overall, I would buy this again.

My six year old absolutely loves this! She has been playing with my large one I had when I was her age at my parents house for awhile now. When I saw this one, I knew she would love it. It will come in handy when we go to Florida in June and occupy her on the airplane.
