Comments about One Step Ahead PeaPod Plus Baby Travel Bed:

We have had this for years & love it. We travel often and this is so easy to fly with. It fits in a carry on. My son was never comfortable in hotel cribs, but is always nice & cozy in his familiar pea pod. I never have to worry about cribs that might not be clean at the hotel. When we use our camper we would put this on one of the beds & never have to worry about him falling off the bed. Our huge pack n play would take up most of the floor space in our camper. We have had this for 5 years and our inflatable mattress has never leaked. Once we had this we never looked back!

Comments about One Step Ahead PeaPod Plus Baby Travel Bed:

Won't let me describe myself as BOTH Grandparent, and Medical Professional, but I am. A RN of newborns x 30+ years. Gave the Peapod as a Baby Shower gift for my 1st Grandchild. Lots of people there and not much room in the room. They handed me the Peapod to explain "what it was" and I opened it up - we all laughed - it's fantastically larger than expected! And had it back in it's carrier in less than ONE MINUTE the very first time! So easy!!! Everyone was so thrilled and amazed! Anticipate YEARS of USE by many babies to children! Highly recommend.

Comments about One Step Ahead PeaPod Plus Baby Travel Bed:

We bought these beds for our kids, 1 and 3, for a three week working vacation. They fit in a suitcase, are fun to set up, easy to take down, and have a trim footprint while still being roomy inside. They gave the kids and us some privacy in a shared hotel room, and blocked the light when my husband got up at 4 for work every day.

Comments about One Step Ahead PeaPod Plus Baby Travel Bed:

Love how small a package that this packs up into (much lighter and smaller than a pack and play). It just pops up and even pumping up the mattress really doesn't take that long. Would be nice if the mattress came with a better valve that allowed air in and controlled release of air. Would be perfect if you could order replacement mattress separately as well as mattress covers (although crib mattress covers work fine). Not as easy to take down as set up. You have to practice technique of folding tent back up into "circle" a few times to get good at it.

Comments about One Step Ahead PeaPod Plus Baby Travel Bed:

Our toddler outgrew the typical pack and play and we needed something quick and easy for a travel sleeping space. This fits the bill perfectly! It packed perfectly in a suitcase (not too heavy or big) and our tall 2 year old loves sleeping in her roomy "tent bed." Instead of putting the mattress in the zippered space (as directed), we put a crib sheet on it and just slipped it into the main compartment for a more bed like feel. It is also very quick and easy to blow up without the pump. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who needs a travel bed.

Comments about One Step Ahead PeaPod Plus Baby Travel Bed:

Bought this product for my two girls - age 3 and newborn at the time, for napping on the beach and on vacation. Goes up easily and kids nap well in it. Disassembling seems easy but even when following directions, the rods can shift out of their pockets and render the entire pod misshapen and impossible to fold down. One Step replaced our first one (which was great!) and we were excited to receive our second only to have the exact same problem. Initally thought it was a fluke but now seems more of a design issue. Love it but sadly can't recommend.

Comments about One Step Ahead PeaPod Plus Baby Travel Bed:

We purchased the PeaPod for our 2 year old for a family reunion/mini-vacation. She is till sleeping in a crib so we were curious how she would do. She slept in it all night and she said it was cozy. It was even useful for naps when we left our hotel for an entire day and traveled between family's houses. We would set it up in a quiet room and she would nap. Despite my daughter being at the 90th%ile for her height, she had plenty of room. I was reluctant to spend the money but it was worth the money for us. But gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the price (a little pricey compared to other brands). We had to keep at least both sides rolled up so air could circulate through the mesh or it would get too warm inside.

Comments about One Step Ahead PeaPod Plus Baby Travel Bed:

I hate to write a negative review but we feel that it is important for other parents to know that the air in the tent is much warmer and "stuffier" than the outside air. Our older 10 year old child reported that she couldn't last but 10 minutes inside. We used the tent in a room within our parents' home and the temperature within the tent was 4 1/2 degrees warmer in the tent. My daughter, who wears several layers to bed because she is always cold, said that the quality of the air was intolerable. She felt that there was a lack of oxygen for her to breathe, and so we did not end up using the tent for our 9 month old. It was a pity to have brought it 6000km to have discovered this fact.....I really wish other parents would test it out themselves and not use a portable crib which could pose breathing problems for their babies.

We use this bed for travel. We end up bringing memory foam because the inflatable mattresses continue to have holes or just deflate overnight. Multiple replacements still have the same issue. We love the tent itself.

Great product considering we travel quite a bit. My baby is 8 months old. Took him some time to get used to it. I don't think he likes being enclosed on the top. As he gets older we know he is going to love it. Right now we put him to sleep first then transport him to the tent. He sleeps in it all night.

Comments about One Step Ahead PeaPod Plus Baby Travel Bed:

We purchased our first PeaPod after taking one trip lugging along a pack and play. Our son was about 12 weeks old at the time. Now two years old, we have continually favored the PeaPod over any other travel bed over many trips.
                        PROS:
-appears to be more comfortable than the pack and play - it has a little air mattress!
-zips closed, allowing our little one to avoid the distraction of seeing us in often more cramped quarters (ie, guest rooms/hotel rooms/etc) than those to which he's accustomed.
-fits right inside a suitcase. It's so small compared to other travel bed options!
-easy to set up and take down (once you've done it a time or two)
                        CONS:
-the zipper can be a little loud for light sleeping babies. If you rock your baby to sleep and then put him/her inside, you still have to zip the zipper closed
-the zipper can be opened by little hands once your toddler knows how to do this (a recent development for us). This means the area where your little one may be sleeping also has to be safe enough if he/she escapes from the pod!
-folding it up can be a little confusing the first several times you do it.

All in all, we love this product. It's served us very well on many trips.

We also do not slide the mattress into the provided pocket, but rather put a standard crib sheet on the mattress and slide it into the PeaPod. That allows for easy cleanup should that be needed (wash the sheet and wipe off the mattress!)

I have been traveling with kids for 12 years now and taking four is a challenge. I purchased this product after arriving at a hotel late one night and finding all available cribs GONE. Try keeping a 1-year-old contained and quiet while his three siblings sleep in one bed and his dad is trying to prep for an early-morning marathon.

Purchased this for two extended summer road trips and have been so pleased. Easy to put up, and not too hard to put away after you get the hang of it. Save the instructions that come with so you can refer to them again.

I would highly recommend this product because of it's ease and convenience for travel.

Comments about One Step Ahead PeaPod Plus Baby Travel Bed:

I had hoped it would keep our 2 year old grandson safely contained. However, he walked out the first morning happily telling us he did it "all by myself" - unzipped himself easily. We did not purchase the pump and my husband easily blew up the air mattress. We also added a layer of foam for comfort. It is difficult to cover a child quietly and I now believe it would have been more useful to purchase the inflatable toddler bed instead. That being said, the toddler does like his tent and has slept in it at naptime and bedtime quite well.
