We have had this on our oven and bottom oven drawer for about 2 years now, and it has worked great for us. Just recently the front piece popped out of the hinge. This happened once before and I was able to put it back in, but I haven't bothered this time since our son is now 31 months and knows that the oven is HOT and to stay away. No problems with adhesive melting or not adhering for us.

not sure if this item works or not... I thought I would leave this review for those parents that don't have much room between their oven and their cabinets.. it won't fit. I can't say if I would recommend this or not

The first day of use and my toddler easily opened the oven door with the piece attached to oven door popped open. It scared her a little bit as it flew in the air but the next day, back to normal.

Our oven is built in between cabinets. This product requires either a free edge to the oven or an inch between the cabinet and the side of the stove. I was unable to install this safety device at all. Unfortunately, when you buy off the internet, it's hard to know in advance, and difficult to return things. I hope this review saves someone else $ and time.

This lock was easy to install but within a few days, my daughter had managed to figure out how to unlock the oven. She also pulled the lock right off of the oven. The adhesive isn't very strong. Don't waste your money.

WE used the oven locks on the bottom drawer of the over. My daughter liked to open the drawer and try to stand in it. I was worried about sharp edges.

Our 9MO had never shown an interest in the stove until we installed this, within 10 minutes (not an exageration) she pulled herself up and broke this off. After 15 minutes this product was in the trash.

I have a double oven and this was the best option I could find after searching for a good oven lock for the bottom oven. My toddler loves to hold the bar of the lower over as it is a perfect level for her height. Still needing the upper oven to open, I had to use a side adhering lock like this. My only complaint is that the adhesive is strong, but I wish it were stronger. A really good yank on the oven door and it would fail to hold. However, even with her little tugs, the oven door stays closed thanks to the lock. It essentially buys me a wee bit of time to jump across the room and stop her from playing with the oven. That is worth a lot when accidents happen in the blink of an eye! For those looking for a solution to a double oven, I recommend it. Otherwise, a stronger construction option is best if you have a regular oven.

unfortunately, this product didn't work a bit. the adhesive doesn't last a day, esp. after oven warms up. darn.

This product did not last very long.

The adhesive melted away and the product came off upon being used. Now I am in the market for another type of locking system for my oven.

We had very good luck w/this lock. I had no trouble ever opening it, even holding a pan of cookies I was putting in the oven. Bummed now that after about 3 years I snapped one of the prongs off, but I'm ordering another one again. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

This is kind of flimsy and doesn't really seem to securely prevent a toddler from opening the oven.
