My daughter is 18 months. Even though I watch her closely, I can't keep an eye on her every second of the day. She's taken a liking to cooking & doing everything I do. This has prevented her from opening the oven on several occasions.

THIS ITEM WORKS AS ADVERTIZED, EXCEPT THAT A STRONG TUG IS LIKELY TO DETACH IT. SO FAR, OUR 20 MONTH OLD HASN'T MANAGED TO DO SO. DON'T PULL HARD ON THIS WHEN THE OVEN IS HOT, AS THE ADHESIVE IS SOFTER THEN.

My toddler is very curious and I feel so much better with this on our oven. I have had it about 3 months now, and it has worked flawlessly (and I use the oven a good amount). Great product, and for us, a MUST.

Using double stick tape on an oven, which gets hot and cold just doesn't work.

It is very useful when it works, but when the adhesive comes unstuck the device is no longer effective. It will re-stick, but it seems there needs to be something stronger to hold it up. Possibly an latch or a hook of some kind.

I couldn't find anything for the oven door and my daughter kept pulling up on it and the door would open. My daughter would tumble backwards and hit her head on the tile.

Now, 6 years later I just took it off the oven! Stayed put and did its job!

The adhesive on the latch does not stick well. Hard to work around when trying to open the oven. My husband became so frustrated because he try to slide the unlock over and the whole thing would just rip off the oven. I followed the directions to the T. To make it worse, its so heavy that returning it would cost more than the item itself. Horrible!

This is a great product to keep my strong & cleaver son out of the oven. He will even put it down to lock it if he sees it up. He has yet to figure out how to open it & we have had it for almost a year. I'm getting 2 more to keep him out of the entertainment cabinet since it works so well on oven.

It was so easy to install and has worked great! We have had it installed for about six months and no problems.

worked awesome for awhile then the tape started to fall off but i use my oven all the time so maybe that had something to do with it

This item works great. It was simple to install and is quick and easy to open when needed.

We put this lock on the oven. It didn't fit at the top of the oven isn't flush with the oven door. However, my husband installed it on the left side of the door and it works great! My son tried to open the oven door a couple times and then stopped trying. He just walks right past it now. I'm not even sure if he realizes it opens:)
