Our stair railing has gaps wide enough for our 3 year old to climb through so we wanted a product that could keep both of our children from climbing and/or falling through the rails.
This deck guard was perfect! My husband installed it in about 30 minutes. It looks nice and serves it's purpose.

So, i can't speak to the long term use of this product but we recently went on vacation and checked two boxes for us to use on the staircase and interior balcony in the house we rented. We used all 30 feet of this product - the balcony was over 15 feet and we used approx. 13 feet on the staircase. I wish I took a picture to show you how scary and dangerous this stairwell/balcony was for my daughter. It was not a standard balcony with slats, it has open swirls that she could have easily fallen through or climbed over. Yes, we spent about $70 on two boxes of this product for 5 days of use but nothing could put the price on the peace of mind this product brought us. I noted the "problem" of too few fastiners - and so we brought with us an extra packet of zip ties - that we never used. We might not have needed to use as many because of the irregular shape of the balcony but there did seem to be quite a few zip ties.
All together my husband put this up in about an hour and 15 minutes. It took less than 10 to clip all the ties and take it down.

This product, although not the prettiest is effective. I was expecting a 'mesh' material but its actually plastic.

We have a banister and railing in our 2nd floor hallway that is not to code. We have many children, and in the past kept our babies safe by using a roll of clear plastic along the railing. It worked, but it was loud as the kids liked to stand and bang the plastic. Now with our current 10 month old twins, we ordered this product and love it much more. It is sturdy and keeps them safe. A huge plus is that it is quiet!! When you brush against it or the kids crawl or stand by it -no noise.

While not "ultrafine" mesh as advertised, this is still a great safety product. Our 100 year old farmhouse has a stairway and 2nd floor landing with openings wide enough for a 7 year old to crawl through. With a toddler grandchild, I was thrilled to find this product. Easy to install, well made, durable, and it offers greater protection than the fabric netting we had attached along the stairway years ago. Would recommend this to anyone!

I use this on my fence and deck outside. it is strong and durable lets the air flow thru - also easy to install and also to cut if needed. It does not trap alot of dirt in the holes. IT keeps the babys from going thru the deck or fence and also my little dogs from getting out of the fence... i rate this a 10 i would highly recommend

This was easy to install (again, I did it myself) and did not require any permanent installation that would cause damage to the stair way or walls.

We were looking for something to go around our railing upstairs. We have a two year old who loves to run and climb!!! So we wanted to make sure while he was running upstairs he didn't somehow climb up the railing and over it!!! This does the job. Thank goodness!

Exactly what we were looking for - installed 25 feet in about an hour, allows breeze to flow through and not ugly. I gave the remnants to a friend with a smaller balcony and two babies; she loved it too!

Overall I would give this a very good rating. We use it on our second floor balcony. The only complaint I have are that the tie straps are cheap. I opted for screwing/nailing ours into the balcony.

We bought this because the ballusters on our interior stairs were built too far apart. This was a little challenging to install, but with two people and a good pair of scissors, we were able to install this fencing in less than 1/2 hour. Note that if you have posts with really large diameters, you may need to get longer plastic ties at the hardware store. This product saved me thousands of dollars in replacing an unsafe stairrail. Now I don't have to worry about my kids falling through. Biggest con is that cut plastic can be a little sharp.

We installed this on our elevated deck to keep our 16 month old from sticking her limbs through the posts. It was pretty easy to install (~45min to install one roll -- including cutting to fit). The material cuts easily to fit your space. It's only been up for a week or two so I can't speak to durability, but it does seem like it will hold up. The only remotely negative comment I have is that it is NOT clear. It's much closer to white which completely blocks the view off the deck, but my opinion is that it's worth it for the safety of your child. We also used extra zip ties, so you may want to pick up some extras before you begin installation.

once installed however, it's super sturdy and i now feel safe letting my 20 month old roam around the deck.

I use this product to block off openings in the guard railing on my deck. I am on the fifth floor and this Deck Guard makes it a lot easier to sit on the deck with my grandchildren and not have to worry about them falling through the railings.

This works great. My 2 year old loves to try squeeze through the bars on the stairs, so when we moved to a house that has a 20 foot entry way that opens up above the stairs I was very concerned. This took me about 10 minutes to put up she touched it one time too see what it was and has never went near it since. I love it! Easy to set up and does the job.
