The only problem I have with this is I wish I had it for both of my kids. As it stands, we bought it when our second was a baby and it is such a handy tool for the snotty days of baby-hood. Now, it is NOT designed to be shoved down the nose and get the mucus at the back of the throat so for many of the negative reviews where it seemed like you were looking for a miracle product, I'm sorry, that's not what it is designed to do! You do have to be careful about using it as applying too much suction can damage the delicate tissues in a baby's nose. A+ product!

I have bought several manual nasal aspirators, and they were effective, but kind of painful to my eleven month old baby, so when I see this item I thought this was the solution.

I used this aspirator on my daughter and wished I'd found it sooner. I loved how the music distracted her, and as she got older she liked holding it herself and pushing the button. HOWEVER. I tried to use it recently when she had a lot of congestion and difficulty blowing her nose, and it just lost suction. Can't figure it out, it just stopped working. I would still recommend it, especially if there have been improvements made since I bought it, about a year and a half ago.

This product was exactly what we were looking for! It works great!! Our son doesn't like the noise, but he always feels better after we use it. I would definitely buy this product again!

This might work great with other babies/families, but it just wasn't for us. Our son was terrified of the sound of the motor when it's turned on, and the music only seemed to make it worse and more chaotic. We found it hard to insert at the right angle, and we were always afraid we might poke his eye with the hard tip. When we did manage to get it in there, it didn't seem to have any effect. I am willing to concede that maybe we just weren't doing it right, but after a few frustrating attempts, we just stopped using it. For the money, I expected something simpler to use and more effective.

Aspirator works great for squirmy babies and toddlers. Gentle suction, but does the trick for the mucous in our house! Not sure about the other comments... How much suction would you really want?? Delicate nasal passages shouldn't be suctioned often or with great force. I use it before naps and after baths (after saline too!). Needs to be used when kids are truly RUNNY, not congested.

I'm a little chagrined by One Step Ahead that they stand behind this inferior device - and not just this aspirator, but all electronic aspirators. In our experience none of them are strong enough to get the mucus out that you need to. I figured this one would be different because OSA said 'they found one that really works' but it doesn't.

This is a great product. Much better than the alternative bulb asperators. My kids don't love it, but thats because they are usually sick and cranky when I need to use it on them.
I have bought this as gift for several friends. They all love it.

I was disaapointed with this product. It works fine if the child has a slight runny nose, but for colds or allergy problems it just doesn't have enough power.

Love using this on my son. This is alot quicker than the bulb. I do not use the long skinny tip as it is scary looking . We lost ours in a move so we went and bought another one. I have even use it on myself. Had a horrible headache and couldn't breath. Really nasty in the collection cup afterwards but it worked. I didn't feel like I was walking in circles.

I suppose if you could plug the thing into a wall, the motor could be strong enough to get the boogies out, but a weak little battery-powered suction motor just doesn't do it. Plus, the whole thing about the music distracting the child is WAY OFF. Every time Zachary heard the music he would scream bloody murder because he knew what was coming. Use one of those self suctioning ones - cheaper, no batteries. Works better.

We bought this when our son had persistent colds and ear infections. It works better with a runny nose vs. a stuffed up nose, but overall we found it worked very well when we needed to clear out our sons nose. He not only loves the music, but found the vibrating suction in his nose entertaining as well.The only downside is that I let my son hold this while changing his diaper and he threw it down onto our hardwood floor, and it broke. I'm debating whether to spend another [$] on a 2nd one. Really like this though- so learn from me and just try not to drop it on the floor.
