My 1 year old grandson was coming for Christmas so I had to baby proof my house. Skipped my nativity and put this under the tree and it was perfect. He love it and played with it alot. Great way to start them on knowing the true meaning of Christmas. Loved that his name is on it. They'll use it for many years especially since there is another baby on the way..our Christmas present!!!!

My kids love this nativity set. It is a great teaching tool and perfect for keeping them entertained in church and in the car. They especially love the wooly sheep.

We use this in advent play for our toddler. She loves playing with the figures and carrying it around. It is great that all the figures can be closed inside and that most, though they are soft, stand on their own. Our only complaint is that the cow and donkey look more like dogs than the animals they are supposed to represent. I highly recommend this for a family with small children.

I was very excited to purchase the Nativity Set. However, I am very disappointed in its quality. The manger was very flimsy and would not stand upright. The star drooped. I had to stuff tissue paper in the manger to get it to stand up! Since I had the two sets personalized, I felt I couldn't return them. I am embarrased to give them as Christmas presents!!!

Both my mom and I bought one of these, mine for at home use with my young kids and hers for teaching Sunday School at church. This is the best kid friendly nativity set I've ever found, although I do also own the wooden one made by OneStepAhead a few years ago which was the best I could find at the time. This one is great because I can have it down low where it encourages kids to play with it and it has all the major players with a few extras like the animals. And it can't break!!! Yay!! Highly recommend this!!

Our nativity arrived today and it has proved a great distraction for my 2 year old from the gifts she can't open until Christmas. It is really adorable.

Like the other reviewer, the stable was a bit squashed on arrival, but it's fabric so there's no harm done. It only required a bit of reshaping. My daughter was able to enjoy it right after it was unpacked.

There are some proportion issues. The sheep are larger than both the donkey and the cow. Our shepherd is missing an eye which is nothing that a few minutes of surgery won't correct. He must have had a staff accident of some kind.

The overall quality (stitching, fabric and stuffing) is good. The price is right. I saw a felt set at at popular childrens' website for over $100.00. I am sure that set would be subject to the same minor flaws I found in this one.

It is cute as can be and I would buy it again. If it had larger issues, I would return for a replacement but we're happy with it.

Our nativity set arrived today and it is a great distraction for my two year old from the gifts she can't open until Christmas day. Like the other reviewer, it was a bit squashed, but because it's fabric, there is no harm done. I just had to reshape it a bit.

All told, even with these minor flaws, this set is cute as can be and my daughter is enjoying it as I write this. If there were additional problems, I might say it was overpriced or return it for a replacement. I have seen other sets similar to this for twice the price and they would be subject to the same possible problems. Really, we love it and I would buy it again.

I purchased this as a gift for my 6 month old niece as a keepsake for years to come. I debated between this and the Christmas Tree sold here, which has GREAT reviews and this one had none… but I wanted the Christian aspect of the holiday to be highlighted.

My thoughts on the product: When I opened the box and saw the stable crushed and wrinkled, I pretty much decided to send it back. The stable is very cheap, flimsy and the star - it looks NOTHING like what is pictured. My star is facing down towards the ground and is metallic copper-colored threads that are already worn looking and the white stuffing is showing through. (see pics!) The roof looks like it's caving in. Not impressed.

When I pulled out the people, however, I loved them. They are bright colored and have the sweetest faces. The finger puppet part in the back is what makes them stand up (it kind of tents out), which I was impressed that they would stand. The characters included are: Mary, Joseph, Jesus, Angel, Three Wise Men, a Shepard, a cow, camel, donkey and two sheep.

Would I buy it again? Hm... maybe. I might would just pick up a Fischer Price one in the store for less money. Not as keepsake oriented but still a good thought. But, I have decided to keep it and gift it this Christmas. It's just a lot of money (especially when shipping is included) to be disappointed in part of the gift. So understand what you are getting and you'll probably be OK with the purchase.

This is my first purchase from One Step Beyond… not overly impressed and hope any future purchases will leave a better impression.
