This is an excellent product for preventing falls from upper floor windows. It is safe and effective without having the "jail cell" look of vertical metal bar guards or the dangerous "ladder" effect of horizontal bar guards. Though not inconspicuous, it does blend well with white window coverings and window trim.

Even beyond the usefulness of the product, I have had incredibly good customer service results from KidCo. While I had one of the window guards open to clean the window, my very tall, adventuresome 4-year-old decided to use it to swing from, breaking it in two places. I wrote to KidCo to inquire about purchasing replacement parts, and they sent the parts to me free of charge!

Though I at first cringed about spending $50 each for a window guard, I am glad I did. I am pleased with the product, and though their product is pricey, KidCo's customer service is exceptional.

The first one will take a while to put together and site correctly on the window frame. After the first one, installation went quickly. Very strong and effective in place and not unattractive. Not obtrusive inside draperies. Makes me feel comfortable about having widows open in warm weather in my grandchildren's upstairs bedroom.

I am the mother of two young children and a daycare provider. I love this product. I was having trouble finding a product for crank out windows. This works great. we used to have the bars (which are great as well, but don't work with crank outs) and I am very happy to have the peace of mind that there will be no second story falls!! worth every penny!

I found the window guards easy to install and a better looking alternative to the metal bars. There is a little bit of extra fabric, but it does not compromise the safety.

I love this product! knowing that my daughter cannot fall out of the second story windows is priceless. my ONLY complaint is that i thought i would be able to mount the brackets to the wall, but due to our old-fashioned window mouldings, i had to mount them right on the moulding. despite this, it is definitely well worth it and nothing little wood putty won't fix when we're ready to take them down.

This window guard is a nice alternative to the bars on the window. The width of the guard is adjustable so it can fit your window perfectly, which is great. However, there is only one piece of fabric mesh that comes with it. My window is on the smaller side of the range for this guard, so the fabric mesh is so loose. There is so much slack that my baby can still push against it and be pushing on the window behind it. I feel like for the cost of this window guard, they could have included a few sizes of the mesh to fit some standard window sizes. I was hoping to really reduce the risk of my child pushing on the window and hurting herself that way. If your window is on the bigger side, this would be great.

We are very pleased with this. Not only is it the window safety we were looking for but it also allows us to have the blinds down and the kdis are not able to pull on the slats since they are behind the guard.

I ordered one of these to see what it was like. I like it and will be ordering one for the other window. It serves it's purpose, and doesn't look like bars on the window. Let's the breeze blow through too!

The mesh window guard installs quickly and easily and is very sturdy. However, I am a little concerned that my children will figure out how to remove the product from the window as the latch mechanism is fairly simple.
