Comments about Tots In Mind Child Safety Cozy Crib Tent II Prevents Climbing:

We used this with our first son and it lasted about 13 months. A pediatrician recommended we use it to keep him in bed bc he was too young to transition to a toddler bed. It worked great until the zipper broke. I am desperately trying to figure out how to fix it before our youngest starts crawling out of his bed. If used correctly, I don't see how a child could get hurt. I wouldn't put my three yr old in it bc he would hang from the top and break it but my 13 month old, most certainly.

Comments about Tots In Mind Child Safety Cozy Crib Tent II Prevents Climbing:

This is the most wonderful invention EVER! I desperately need another one for my younger climber. A 13 month old is entirely too young to put in a big bed. But the crib tent does a fantastic job of keeping them in their crib where they cannot get hurt. I really hope someone comes up with another one ASAP!

I really, REALLY wish this product... or anything SIMILAR was still available! It's the only thing that gave me peace of mind with my new two year old that persistently got out of his crib late in the middle of the night. Otherwise, he'd get out and quietly get INto things he wasn't supposed to... no matter how hard I tried child-proofing our home. I was really fed up and THIS proved to be the perfect answer... until one of my older sons jumped on the top and broke it. I'm so, so disappointed.

Comments about Tots In Mind Child Safety Cozy Crib Tent II Prevents Climbing:

We have a young boy who is on the autism spectrum with delays in communication and development. After he launched himself out of his crib a few times (fortunately just scared but not injured) my wife decided we needed a solution to keep him safe.

Understand, she is quite the researcher and researched crib tents and past injuries before deciding to purchase this product. She concluded that it seemed safe.

Installation was complex. Not necessarily difficult, but easy to get confused or install wrong. It took me awhile to figure it out. But once installed, a few things were clear - this was a well-thought-out product and it was quite sturdy and that all kinds of things had been considered in making this product safe. Also, that if we had a crib of any other dimensions, this would not have fit properly and would have concerned us.

Unfortunately, our child also has an oral fixation. One day he walked up to the open flap that was hanging down in his room and chewed up the zipper so we could no longer close it. Of course, the very next day the product was recalled.

Otherwise, we would purchase another today and would continue to recommend it to people with the caveat that proper installation is a must.

I just got a recall notice on my e-mail account from [@] indicating that the Tot in Mind company is out of business and that the crib tent has been recalled due to two reports of accidents. [@] gave me a number to call, but the answer machine is full of other people trying to return the crib tent, plus the business is out of business.

Worked out great! I have twins that share a room and were prone to crib jumping. I finally purchased two crib tents and can breathe a sigh of relief! No more crib jumping, biting, or escaping out of their room during nap time.

The one downside is that our crib beds are not quite suitable for the tent. The length of the tent cuts short of our crib.

Comments about Tots In Mind Child Safety Cozy Crib Tent II Prevents Climbing:

Seriously, you need to buy this tent. I know it's expensive, but it's be worth it. Our first child climbed out of her crib at 2, and we moved her to a big bed - huge mistake - it took months to get her napping and falling asleep in her bed at night. For #2, we installed the tent when he was 18 months. He's still using it. Two sides have ripped from two years of heavy use, but he still can't come out. I highly advise against moving the crib rail up and down - I think that's what caused the tears. My son still can't get out - he absolutely cannot open the zipper from the inside. For #3, we clearly bought another tent. I bought it 6 months ago, and have been waiting to install it. Yesterday, when I took it out of the box, there was a hole at the top of the tent, through the netting - this time, my son could come out if/when the hole gets bigger. I called customer service and they are doing a free exchange, even though I bought this 6 months ago. I love Onesteahead customer service. This takes 15 minutes to install the first time. It's also more difficult to change the sheets once the tent is installed. My #2 once threw up all over the bed, including the tent. I had to throw it in the washer, delicate cycle, and it came out looking great.

This product works great, peace of mind can never be over-rated. I have repaired two small holes in the three weeks we have had it, but that's what little people do-stick their fingers into the mesh. I am glad such a product is available.

We have a 22 month old girl who jumped out of her crib (on the lowest setting)-we thought she was ready to transition into a regular bed (we tried a mattress on floor, toddler bed, and even regular queen bed)-NOTHING worked-she actually wanted to be back in her crib. This crib tent SAVED our household and gave us all sleep again. I HIGHLY recommend it. It's totally safe-they cannot jump out at all. She actually loves it. :) I was anti-crib tent until I saw this. Thanks One Step Ahead!

My son is really tall, and at 12 months I walked in his room to find him almost climbing out of his crib! I immediately ordered this and have loved it ever since! We have had it for almost a year now, and it still looks like new. He has actually slept better since we've gotten it, and we can rest easy knowing he is safe in his crib. Love this product!

It goes onto the crib easily and zips and unzips easily....the whole thing is mesh and totally breathable.

                          This is a great buy!!

This product looked as though it might be sturdy. It was a little difficult to assemble but not impossible. This did not fit our crib so we ended up sending it back. I would recommend this as I've heard from friends that this works great. I would suggest that you order carefully to make sure it fits for your crib type.
