Learning Curve Drop and Lock Pressure Baby Gate

Item #: 20997

Pressure gates don't get any easier than this! It's installed: just adjust the width, drop the gate into place, then pull up to release when you want to remove it. We like this safety gate's natural wood finish, although you can stain it if you choose to match your woodwork. Adjusts from 31½"-48"W. 29½"H.

Comments about The First Years Learning Curve Drop And Lock Pressure Baby Gate:

This gate was broken in two places when it arrived! It was so flimsy; we couldn't imagine it holding up to a rowdy toddler.

Comments about The First Years Learning Curve Drop And Lock Pressure Baby Gate:

We wanted a gate for the bottom of our stairs to prevent our 1-year-old from going up when we weren't watching. Installing a swinging gate would have been impractical for the location. It very easy to set up and we can just lift it out of place and put it back. At least for our location, the gate isn't strong enough to prevent an older kid from pulling it out of place and we definitely wouldn't use it at the top of the stairs, but it's perfect for our situation.

Also of note, the final step of setup required two people. One needed to hold it in the unlocked position while the other adjusted the end screws on one side.

This one misses the mark! The "adjustments" require 2 phillips screwdrivers and the hardware tore up on me before I used it once! The "provided" tools consist of a crescent wrench that couldn't tighten a nut if it's life depended on it! I've been happy with products from One Step Ahead before but this is my first real disappoinment!
