Lazy Susan Cabinet Lock

Item #: 13269

At last: a childproofing lock for Lazy Susan style cabinet doors! Until now, it's been hard to keep busy explorers out of revolving cabinets — but not with our ingenious hardware-mounted latch! It secures to the inside of the cabinet frame, so there's no outwardly-visible holes (and no more pinched fingers)!

Comments about Dorel Juvenile Group Lazy Susan Cabinet Lock:

My husband spent over an hour trying to install this device. We have a very normal-sized Lazy Susan cabinet yet this device would not fit. There was no way for him to place the device and still allow us access to this cabinet.

Comments about Dorel Juvenile Group Lazy Susan Cabinet Lock:

Needed this to keep my kids from getting into our Lazy Susan snacks cabinet. Keeps their fingers from getting pinched and caught in the revolving cabinet door. However, my first one broke; something in the lock snapped and wouldn't allow it to click shut anymore. Glad to finally have a replacement.

Comments about Dorel Juvenile Group Lazy Susan Cabinet Lock:

I love this lock for our lazy susan, however I am now ordering a second one. It is made out of cheap plastic and the latch broke off of our after only about six months of use.

I am buying the same one again because it did work great while it lasted and it's the only one that I've found that really works well for our family. My daughter, who just turned two, has figured out several of our babyproofing devices in our home but she can not do this one. It fit our cabinets perfectly and prevents pinched fingers becuase the doors can not move at all when it is locked. And my husband and I really like that it can be disengaged when our daughter is not around so we can easily access the cabinet while cooking.

Overall it is a great product, just wish it was made of metal instead of cheap plastic.

Comments about Dorel Juvenile Group Lazy Susan Cabinet Lock:

Couldn't figure out how to keep our little guy out of the lazy susan (worried about fingers pinching more than him getting at the stuff inside). We have been using this lock for about 1 month now and it has been a great solution! I can't speak to the ease of installation, as I didn't install it. But it didn't seem to take my husband long to install and it seemed relatively easy for him. Only con is that is has been tricky for me to remember that I can't swing the lazy susan cabinet open and closed either way now - it only opens and shuts in one direction with this lock attached. The lock itself is very easy to open and close and has kept our little guy out of the lazy susan cabinet. So I am very happy with this product.

Comments about Dorel Juvenile Group Lazy Susan Cabinet Lock:

This lock is really needed for lazy susan's--great idea. The execution of this lock is lacking. It is a difficult design to open--which is good for children but should be easier for adults. Also, I don't like that when you get it open you can only turn the lazy susan one way. That may be a necessity but it is an inconvenient design. I also feel that after a short period of use this lock may break.

This lock installs easily with 2 screws. It is a little sticky to open. You have to really push on the tab but it keeps my 2-year old from being able to open it.

This is a great solution for the lazy susan cabinet. My 13 month old son was getting into the cabinet and dumping cereal all over the floor. I couldn't find any other product in stores that worked. Now he is not happy but the cereal is safe! The only issue is our 7 year old has a hard time with the lock...but it has cut back on unauthorized snacking! Over all a great product.

Comments about Dorel Juvenile Group Lazy Susan Cabinet Lock:

It definitely keeps my children out of the lazy susan, so it does work. I find it easy to use, once you figure it out. However my husband, who doesn't get into the lazy susan very often, always seems to be the one that breaks it because it doesn't open as easily for him as he thinks it should. The part that breaks is the knob, not the part that screws into the frame. Overall, I would recommend the product, but suggest you buy at least 2 to 3 of them to have the spare parts on hand when it does break. My kids seem to know the second that it breaks and are in the cabinet almost instantly!!

Comments about Dorel Juvenile Group Lazy Susan Cabinet Lock:

I give this 3 stars only because I can't find any other product that locks a lazy susan. It was hard to install, not a very good fit, tight to open & close. I'm on my second one because the first broke in under a year. I can't find any alternative product & it does keep my children out of the cabinet so it does it's job.

I sometimes have a hard time opening the latch but it keeps my toddler out of the lazy susan so it is worth it! I've tried all the other latch systems and this is the only one that works!!! You only need 1 latch system for 1 lazy susan, I wasn't sure when I ordered it the description wasn't clearly explained.
