Comments about One Step Ahead Large Collapsible Canvas Toy Box:

I just bought a large and medium toy box for my living room. I love them! They are neutral and don't look too child-like in my living area. The large one holds a lot of toys -- more than I was expecting. The medium one is perfect for small toys or my sons large train track set. I might get another one! It seems very sturdy too -- my 2.5 yr old can sit on the top with no problem. Thanks for a great product! Buy this if you are looking for an inexpensive, decent looking solution for all of those toys!

Comments about One Step Ahead Large Collapsible Canvas Toy Box:

I was very excited to receive this toy box but once I opened the package, I was extremely disappointed. I bought this for my then 2 year old and it barely lasted a year. It is so poorly constructed that it is certainly NOT worth the money. It's a cardboard box with a liner. All the products that are made this way are not worth the investment. We also purchased the 4-drawer organizer and it is better than the toy box but not worth the price.

Comments about One Step Ahead Large Collapsible Canvas Toy Box:

I've owned this product for a very long time, and for a very long time have been unhappy with it. Right from the start I noticed the personalization was crooked. That's a minuscule issue, I'll deal with it. Then, as we continued to use it, we started having the same issues as everyone else here. The front bowed out, the sides have bent, and overall, this is completely useless as a toybox. We should have just sprung for a hard-sided one.

We bought 2 of these boxes for our son's playroom and as others have stated, the front panel bowed out, the roof sunk down when my 20 month old (skinny!) son climbed on it(as the website photos suggested) and it has completely lost its shape. So disappointed in the product and the company for selling such a poor quality item.

Comments about One Step Ahead Large Collapsible Canvas Toy Box:

We previously used a storage basket for my son's toys, until his toy collection quickly outgrew that size. We researched for a couple months of something suitable for us. My cousin had purchased one similar to this one, but had told me about seeing one on this website. I checked out reviews and went ahead and ordered it. I'm so glad we did because we love it. We love the neutral colors that match our decor, the easy set up, and how spacious it is. I understand how it could get weak over time, if you let your kids lay or sit on it. A toy box is exactly that, a box for toys. I have no intentions of letting my son sit or lay on it. We simply fold the lid behind it when he's using it; that way he's not trying to climb on it or play with the lid. Only downfall we have is that my son is 18 months old, and shorter for his age. He has trouble getting toys that are out of reach or towards the bottom. However, this will be great even as he grows older. Overall, we would recommend this to anyone!

Comments about One Step Ahead Large Collapsible Canvas Toy Box:

First off, I like this product because it blends in with my decor. So many products out there are in bright colors which doesn't work for my living room. For the money, it is a decent toy box but it is not as durable as the pictures lead you to believe. Yes, your child can sit on the box but over time if your child does this, it will cause the box to bow and crease. I wish I had known this because I wouldn't have let my daughter do that. If I attach the lid its not so noticeable but unattached, it looks like a bit of an eye sore. Other than that, it has held up well and we have had this box for about 2 years now.

Comments about One Step Ahead Large Collapsible Canvas Toy Box:

Great concept, but within a few weeks of setting it up and storing toys the front panel started to bow out, and it was not from too many toys as we had plenty of room to spare. At first I didn't think anything of it because it only happened without the lid closed. Now even if I close the lid and secure it, within a few hours the lid pops off and the front panel bows out. Not worth the money at all.

We bought two of these several years ago and love them. I came on line to purchase several more today and I wish that they made them in different colors as well. The cream color shows finger prints and spots very easy and they aren't easy to clean off! It would be nice if they made it in black and chocolate brown.

I thought this would be the perfect toy box for our family and it lasted about a week. There is no way a kid can lay on top of the box and not ruin it. The concept is cool, but really unless you have not-so active children you will be able to get much use out of it.

This product was poorly advertised in the catalog. A child laying on top of this toy box reading a book. Funny! My 2 year old destroyed this box. The first time he put a little bit of weight on it, the entire front collapsed.

Comments about One Step Ahead Large Collapsible Canvas Toy Box:

I use this item to corral toys in the livingroom. I do not like my living room to look like the playroom (adults need their space too). This is an attractive design & functional. My only con is that the top is too flimsy. Although they do not constantly sit on the top, they have crawled over it & it caved in too soon. They are both tiny tikes so we were surprised with how quickly the top collapsed. Otherwise a great product. Would buy again.
