We used this at the end of our driveway to deter our 18 month olds from going into the road. It works for that but as many people have said, a ball rolls right under/through it. We also found that the retracting mechanism is only OK. It will retract about 90% of the way but the last 6 inches won't roll up.

This is perfect for keeping our young children from running into the street & for preventing vehicles from racing in while the kids are playing. (Unfortunately, the gate was stolen from the top of our driveway while retracted, so we will be ordering another & will have to take it in when not in use.)

This product is great especially for those that like to give their child a little freedom outdoors. Our little man is very busy and will go down the driveway in his walker. This device prevents him from going to the end of the driveway into the street.

I have a long, steep driveway and we are constantly worried about balls rolling down it to the street. I read the product description that stated this guard would not keep children from running through it, however the description indicated that it would stop balls from rolling into the street... not so. The very first ball that rolled into it was a lightweight plastic beach ball, which pressed against the net and then rolled right under it into the street. It is completely worthless as a guard. I would only buy it if you need a visual reminder for your children. And the price is extremely absurd for something of such low quality that does not serve its intended purpose.

I use it to keep my small house dogs on the deck, and it works great. It's nice because it is so easy to install and it rolls up when we want the deck open again

We live on a hill and our driveway leading up to our house is steep. This keeps our son & his toys from rolling off into the street. It's great!!

Our 1st one lasted 6 years w/ 3 boys! :)Ordering new one now! Balls don't go under - unless maybe you didn't install it to touch the ground appropriately. Love it for 1) barrier for kids to not have their riding toys past and 2) so company/workers/whoever DOESN'T drive up the driveway & park where the kids are or about to play! You can store the whole thing(easily) in the garage when not using, or like us leave it out on the 1 pole! Love it. Note: be sure to push the poles that stay in the groud ALL the way down, otherwise a lawn mower can shatter the top of one, creating sharp pieces (happened to us).

This product is awesome! We have a basketball hoop and my boys, ages 3 and 5 were constantly wanting to go in the road to get the ball. The net keeps the ball from going in the road and sets boundaries for the boys! I would highly recommend!

I use this in my long single driveway while the kids are playing with sidewalk chalk or riding bikes/trikes. Our driveway is long, but has a sudden drop so this keeps them from careening out into the street on their bikes. I like that I (a petite mom) was able to install it myself. I do wish that the top of the nylon gate was reinforced, because it already sags after 2 weeks, but it still serves its purpose, so I'll deal.

Works well as a visual for others, giving them an indication children are playing nearby. However, it also draws attention to my toddler who is preoccupied with pulling and/or pushing it. He was less likely to be at the end of the driveway before we installed it. I also hoped it would prevent balls from rolling away. It doesn't. Balls, no matter the size, roll under even with the netting touching the ground.

The Kidsafe Driveway Guard was extremely easy to install. My five year old son is our official gate closer, so it is extremely easy to use. The bright orange color is terrific. My 1 1/2 year old knows that it means "stop." My driveway is a slight incline, so balls roll down our driveway often. The Driveway Guard catches most balls, but it is not as strong as I would like it to be. Overall, I think it is easy to install, easy to use, and useful.
