We set this up which was easy to do and had it ready to go on Christmas for our 3 year old grandson. He loved it! Our five year old grandson liked it as well. In fact we all took a turn seeing ourselves on TV. The camera is not top notch but it is good value for the price and intended use.

The reviews for this product where mixed and I have taken that as a sign. However, I picked it up anyway for Christmas this year. The camera attached was a great selling point. On Christmas morning everything worked great for 20 minutes. Then the microphone stopped working. The construction of the 'guts' of are of such poor quality that you have to hold the cord in a certain position to get things to work and that only works about 20% of the time. My 3 ½ year old loved this, now all we have is a stand and a camera.

Great concept but not worth any money.

The Video Stage Microphone is great as far as her being able to see herself on TV, but the cord to the mike obviously has a short because it never worked properly.......it has crackled off and on since we put it together. Quite a disappointment to my granddaughter!

Very poor sound quality. Volume control does not work. Only produces sound when on the highest volume then is very muffled. Annoying. My grand daughter age 6 loved the idea behind this toy. Great idea. They need too work out the problems

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my 4 year old and 2 year old daughters. It is a great product idea but, it hasn't worked since day 1. The wire won't stay connected. Since it is an item only sold for the holidays I can't even exchange it and try another one. This is the first time I have been so disappointed with anything I have purchased from One Step Ahead.

My daughter loves watching herself perform on the TV. The best part is that we can hook our ipod up to it and she can use her own music!

My three children (8, 6,and 5 years old) love the microphone. Easy setup to the TV and MP3 player. Kids love to sing along to their music or just play "announcer."
The only drawback is, when the camera is attached to the "stand" their faces are the only thing you can see on the TV. We have moved the camera to a table so you can see their whole bodies, not just the faces. Other than that, I total recommend this microphone for any up-and-coming stars!!

Our 6 year old likes to entertain the family and sing to us. We have not yet used the camera, only have had it for a week, but just the microphone alone has been entertaining, can't wait to see what she thinks when she can watch herself sing!

My three yr old daughter loves this! She enjoys singing and for the first day we didn't even hook it up to the TV. She liked to hear herself and watch the flashing lights and push the applause button. The next day we hooked it up to the TV and she was so excited! She really enjoys this and so does her five yr old brother. The video is grainy, even on an HD TV so don't expect a great picture but she didn't care. I haven't tried the video recording option yet but everything else was very easy to set up.

This was my granddauaghters favorite toy. She entertained us on Christmas singing all her favorite carols that she learned in pre-school. To our dismay, the microphone broke the day after Christmas. We are sending the item back for a refund.

Gave this to my 4 year old daughter for Christmas. She loves it. Easy to put together and use. She likes seeing herself on TV. We've only had it for two days, so hopefully it will hold up.

I was so disappointed by this product. My 5 year old daughter really wanted this for Christmas and we were so excited to try it out but the picture on the tv was horrible! Super blurry and crummy quality. Great idea, poor execution.

Sadly we gave this new product a shot as a Christmas gift for our daughter. She was so excited until not one part of the product worked correctly. Video wouldn't turn on, microphone was faulty, construction was very flimsy. To be fair, for [$] I wasn't expecting a machine that would last 5 years but I did expect it to work initially. Will be emailing c/s today to return.
