Our kids' mixer is great for play kitchens and real kitchens, because it really works! It's powerful enough to stir pudding and batter, a thrill for little chefs. Toy mixer features two battery-operated speeds and an alternative hand crank; includes mixing bowl and three working kitchen tools (whisk, spatula, and K beater). Requires 2 "AA" batteries (sold separately). For ages 3 and up.

    My daughters use this to pretend to make things all the time. We haven't gotten to use it for it's full potential yet because it requires batteries. However, it does have a hand turner to manually turn the mixer. My girls love it.

            This is a cool product. My son loves to bake and he uses this mixer to mix up some of the Easy Bake Oven batters. It works well, and "shuts down" whenever there is too much batter or the batter is too thick. The attachments could be a bit sturdier, although if they were they may catch little fingers. Overall this is a good buy. I gave it four stars because of the price.

              3Yr old daughter loves it! She was so thrilled w/ the "cupcakes" she made! I was impressed that it really does mix. The plasic seems like it is kinda on the cheap side, but it does work. I actually took a recipe from another kids baking set and used it (forgot you should only be using simple recipes like the ones included) and by using the hand crank instead of the battery operated mode, we were able to make actual cupcakes (mini scale. It bogged down when we added the softened butter - that's when we realized we were using the wrong recipe! But it worked out just fine. It's a great size for her little hands, it's lightweight and easy to clean. My con would be that again the plastic is cheap. With care, I'm hoping it won't be a problem; don't know how it would handle being knocked off the counter. Overall, it's fantastic. She is so proud of her cupcakes!

                    Purchased this last year for my then 4 y.o. grandson - his dad and mom are great cooks - and he likes to help. This was perfect for him as he could make little things in his own mixer - like small amounts of pancake batter and his cheese sauce for mac and cheese. He loved it. I bought a little test kit to be sure there was no lead in the bowl - before he used it for food and it had no lead in the bowl! It was a BIG hit - if you have a child who likes to help in the kitchen it is a great gift idea.
