I bought this for my 3 year old nephew, he didn't like it at all, too heavy for him he couldn't even put it in his lap to watch videos. I have to find away to return it because it's a waste of money :(

Bought this for a plane trip with my five year old because it seemed more durable than her iPad. I wish I had invested the money in an iPad case because this monster is ridiculous! It is huge, doesn't work well, and weighs *five pounds*! My laptop doesn't weigh that much. Glad I ordered it a few weeks before our trip so I can try to send it back. The weight isn't listed in the product description, btw. I only found it by reading OSA's responses to all the negative reviews I wish I had read earlier. An outrageously priced piece of outdated technology. I wouldn't pay more than $15 for this brick.

I bought these for my 2 and 3 year olds to take on a trip. I have let them start to play with them so they know how to use them. The 3 yr old loves it and wants to take it everywhere. The head phones were a little flimsy, but the player is sturdy and good quality. The 2 yr old keeps hitting buttons and stops the movie. I think the age recommended was 5. I think younger kids can enjoy these too.

This product is a great IDEA. It will soon be out dated due to technology. The screen is horrible and is not durable. Sometimes the screen doesn't even play, but I can hear the video. I bought this product for my daughter last christmas, but we didn't use it until this summer. I regret that so much. I wish I would have returned this product a long time ago. It just isn't worth the money. I would hold out on buying this product. Technology is so quick nowadays it would not surprise me if this year a better one comes out.

Wanted it for 4yr old my son from the first time I saw it because he loves movies so this was the item for him. Especially because we are always out so this keeps him entertained while in the car. The only thing that I didnt like was that after I had it for about 10 months it just stopped working. It was never dropped or anything like that and then screen just kept displaing no disc on the screen everytime we put in a dvd. Fortunatly I called Onestep Ahead and they were able to exchange it for me, I was so greatfull for that. Still a great buy!!!

We bought this for our daughter for Christmas. The DVD stops playing constantly and it will not run on battery power. I think there is a short in the adapter. I tried a different adapter but it still cuts off. We tried batteries and it constantly shows a display that says open even though the dvd door is shut. Very expensive product that was not worth the money we spent.

This product was very poorly made. An overall good idea but the end result is not good! It's so expensive I thought it has to be good. Boy was I wrong. My 4 year old son was very dissapointed as well.

I used it to travel to Florida from Maryland. The batteries didn't last long enough for the trip. Needs to include a car adapter. It is also very heavy.

The headphones are too big and even adjusted is still too big. It is difficult for my girls to seat and place the screen comfortably to watch. I bought 2 for my twins birthday and after trying to watch their movies and not finding a very comfortable position to watch and have the headphones fall over and over again. They just went back to the their regular portable DVD player. I am really sorry I bought them.

We bought two of these DVD players for our 4 & 6 year old primarily for long car trips. So far so good. Our kids even use them in the house which is great because that frees up the TV for my wife and I. The first one we got had an issue with the door sensor inside thinking the door was opened. We returned it and got a new one. The exchange process was very easy. So far the new one works great.
We don't use the headphones though because they slide of the kids easily and they are uncomfortable to wear. It would be nice if it came with an adapter to plug into the cigarette lighter and one for a regular outlet. It's not so much an issue for us because we already had a power converter that we use.

I had tried to use it for travel but way too heavy, it even actually hurt my little ones foot when she tried to carry it herself. there are much better options for having a portable player than this, bulky and hard to bring around for travel
