Purchased this for Christmas for my 5 year old son and he loves it! He uses it as a piggy bank and also a place to stash little trinkets that are special to him. It came with two keys so I kept one in case the other gets lost. You can either use the keys to open it or the combination number. I gave it only 4 stars as I felt that the construction was a bit flimsy...especially the lock and keys. Otherwise it is a great concept and my son feels important locking up his "valuables".

It does not come with instructions for the combination lock, which would have been helpful when our grandson turned the dial and locked the box.
We managed to open it by turning the dial and continuously sliding the lever and then it opened.
It's a little difficult to open for him, however I think this is because he is 5.
Otherwise, he loves it and stores all his treasures in it!

The cash box itself is great, just don't waste your money on the personalization. We had our son's name put on the cash box and when we received it, the letters in his name were crooked and it looks as if the letters are just white stickers that have already started to come off after two days of use.

I think this is a nice bank that kids will like because it is special having a lock and secret code. I also like that is can be personalized. I just wish it was a little bigger.

I purchased 2 of them for my great-nephews who love to hide their treasures so I know it will be used for much more than cash until they get a little bigger. They are 5 & 6 years old right now and adorable!!

I had one of these cash boxes as a kid. In fact, it's still in my childhood bedroom on the dresser. When my son's piggy bank broke, I thought this would make a fantastic replacement for him to store his money and treasures. I was so disappointed when I opened the box. The quality was horrible and cheap. The "cash box" label was crooked, as were the numbers on the combination dial. They were also peeling off. The top didn't line up with the bottom, making the key difficult to operate. As it was Christmas the cost and trouble of sending it back was more then the trouble of keeping it. Needless to say, I didn't give it to my son as a gift.

3 grandsons were delighted with their "treasure boxes". They loved the combination idea as well as having that special key. They are also learning about money and saving and the boxes are perfect for that as well.

My twin grandsons love these little cash boxes. Since each box has it's own "combination", it makes each boy feel like it's just his since twins don't get much of that!

Box is difficult to open, lettering makes it look cheap but color and size is great for my 6 year old who is using it to hold his matchbox cars.

Despite negative reviews on the website I bought the cashbox because it matched my son's "Radio Flyer" themed bedroom. First issue, the box came in blue and not red as shown (my fault for assuming "colors may vary" meant, the shades of red). Also, the faceplate was glued on crooked and the keys do not work. Lastly, don't pay extra for personalization, its just junky stickers that they stuck on crooked and not centered. Overall...very unhappy and I do not recommend!

Wish I had listened to the other reviews. My sons wanted these cash boxes so badly and I couldn't find them in any stores. Gave them to them for Christmas and the combination locks were already broken by New Years.
