Comments about Koregon Enterprises Kids Bedwetting Night Trainer Girl:

So I read all the reviews and tried to wait until I knew I couldn't wait any longer, but finally gave in when nothing else worked. I wanted to give my 4.5 yr-old son a chance (doing everything else imaginable) to stop peeing at night. Up until this point, we had him in a "night" (high absorbency) diaper and although he had had a few dry mornings here and there, it wasn't consistent, and his diaper was frequently FULL. During the day, he's been fully potty trained for two years, no problem. After ordering the product, we agreed to give it our all. We talked to our son about how awesome this new "sensor" was going to be, how it was going to help him stay dry and help him eventually wear undies at night.

Well... it arrived and the first night was a disaster because the first time our son peed, the sensor (even on the low setting) scared him to death. But after a lot of encouragement and congratulating him on actually WAKING UP (and then peeing in the potty) he agreed to put it back on. Several days went by of us encouraging, congratulating, etc. The results, however, were inconsistent, and still after 3 weeks now, we are inconsistent.

But, I do think, when you ask me for my bottom line answer, that we are getting somewhere and it's making SOME difference, and for me, that's all we can ask for. It's the last thing I can think of that we can do to help him, so I'm willing to keep on trying.

PROS:
- Triangular-shaped, foam-ish pad is soft and flexible, and my son doesn't seem to mind wearing them. But he's a pretty laid back kid, so other boys might not like it.
- Two sound settings: The softer sound seems to be enough for us, and is still quite loud. The louder setting is always nice to have as an option if the lower setting seems to stop having an effect.
- Two sets of foam pads allow you interchange betweeen them throughout the night as the other one dries.

TIPS:
- Follow the directions closely for rinsing and drying. It could effect how well they work.
- We used underwear UNDERNEATH a diaper. The underwear was form-fitting enough to hold the foam pad snugly in place and allowed him to feel "wet" when he peed, while the diaper caught anything in excess. Kept us from having to change sheets in the middle of the night. Just changed his underwear/diaper when wet, switched the foam pad and went back to bed.
- For me, in my mind, this is about helping the child's BRAIN trigger when he needs to pee. Heavy sleepers pee in their sleep and sleep right through it. So I look at this as a way to help his brain mature and learn to recognize the signals. I DON'T think that traumatizing the kid by making them sleep in a fully soaked PJ outfit or soaked bed would be helping the cause, or make any positive difference. In my opinion, making it as smooth and trauma/frustration-free the better, for everyone. Hence, we use both the underwear and diaper, to try to meet in the middle. Underwear makes him feel wet and holds the pad in place... diaper aleviates soaked beds and the chaos in changing clothes/sheets in the middle of the night when everyone is exhausted and frustrated.
- How it works: Sensor goes off, kid wakes up and "holds" in the rest of it. Parents go in, helps child finish his business in the potty (yay!), then re-dress and go back to bed. Repeat, repeat, repeat. Eventually some dry nights, or waking to pee before the sensor even goes off, will occur. These are the good nights. Awesome!

CONS:
- Sensor sometimes goes off without being wet. We discovered if the pad is "pinched" or fumbled with (it will conform to the shape of the child over time, bending/pinching a little. our son also would scratch himself which would set it off)
- One of our foam pads, even after following directions to a "T" and seeing it was fully dry, would not stop going off. After about 3 days of not being able to use it, it finally worked again.
- Our son unplugs it. Then he pees, and nothing happens. Product desperately needs to have some sort of way to latch it closed and to not so easily unplug it without the parent. This has been our biggest struggle. We tried taping the plug into the unit but it seemed to short it out somehow and it would go off when he was still dry. Working with son to NOT do this.
- Unit worn on the PJs is somewhat big and bulky. Safety pins holding the unit pull on the PJs and result in misshapen PJs and little holes in their clothes. Wishing there was a different way to attach the unit to the child... but it doesn't seem to interfere with his sleep.
- Not for the faint of heart. Let me repeat: Not for the faint of heart. If you make the decision to do this, it's all about positivity, encouragement, and persistence. Just keep trying. Could take days, could take months. We are lucky our son is willing to deal with it and is excited at the prospect of finally being dry...but a "tougher" kid may make this process a nightmare. I guess when they're ready, they're ready.

Our "usual" night now consists of our son peeing a tiny little bit at some point throughout the night, but the sensor goes off and wakes him up, and he stops. We go in, help him to the potty, he goes the rest of the way (yay!), and we re-dress/switch pads, etc and go back to bed. Then he wakes up in the morning dry. A HUGE improvement from what it was before. But, still not consistent, and not 100% dry. All we can do is keep going, keep staying positive, and keep hoping that eventually this thing will do the trick. What else can you do?

Comments about Koregon Enterprises Kids Bedwetting Night Trainer Girl:

I don't typically write reviews, but felt it necessary to tell people how this product has already started working only after one week. Now, it has not "cured" the problem YET. . . but I definitely noticed how the alarm is helping to condition my child.

My 3 year old is an extremely HEAVY sleeper. The type where he'd wet the bed and wouldn't even wake up. So I decided to try this out. The first night the alarm didn't work because he kept fussing with it (I suggest if you do get this alarm to maybe bend and fold it a bit because the fabric was uncomfortable for my son so he kept fussing with it where it didn't end up staying in place in his underwear). After a few more days the material has softened a bit where it's not as bothersome.

We are now in our 4th day with great strides. I had been waking up with my son for the past 2 weeks setting my own phone alarm twice (once at midnight and another at early morning - this was before I ordered the Nite Trainer alarm).

Once I got the Nite Trainer Alarm, I noticed that the alarm would go off at those same times. So I became aware of his "wetting times". Well with the alarm, he hasn't been going at midnight anymore but instead only once in the early morning. And last night, he was able to "hold it" until 6:30 a.m.!!!

As I mentioned, it hasn't "cured" him yet, but I'm confident that the alarm is helping to condition him to become MORE aware of his body. As others in their reviews have stated, this is not for the faint of heart. I've had to sleep with or near him the past week because the alarm startled and scared him. I figured I'd do this for about a week until he becomes used to it himself. Overall, very pleased that we spent the money on this product and very excited to see the end results!!

I highly recommend this product. It took only 4-5 days of wearing the device to completely solve the problem. My little girl now wakes by herself in the night and takes herself to the bathroom if required.
A lifesaver for she is about to turn 7. A fantastic product, thank you.

Comments about Koregon Enterprises Kids Bedwetting Night Trainer Girl:

Where to start, I am a parent who is thinking to get my 10 years old son a surgery for this problem. He was okay until when he was 7, then the past two years it's getting worse...I set up the alarm twice a night and wake him up to go. I was tired and he was tired...Then I found this and read the review. So far we had it for 3 weeks, we can not be happier. It's working. I wish I had found this earlier. I highly recommend to every parent who is struggling with this problem at home. First I didn't want to buy b/c it is too expensive! But it is worth every penny now. Everybody gets a good sleep, no more loud alarm and changing sheets during night.

Comments about Koregon Enterprises Kids Bedwetting Night Trainer Girl:

First, this is NOT a magic device that will instantly have your child trained with no effort from you. It IS the best training device I've found for overnight success. I really wish I had found this sooner and NOT listened to my pediatrician and put him in a diaper at night. We were actually regressing on daytime potty training (went from never an accident to having damp or wet underwear daily). One evening he was brushing his teeth, suddenly pulled the toothbrush from his mouth to ask, "Do I have my diaper on?" You are awake! You should be going to the toilet even if it is on! I threw out all the diapers that night. I was doing a lot of laundry and discovered this device in desperation.

PRESALE the device to your child. We talked it up about how this was going to HELP him become a big boy and do sleepovers when he is old enough; it was going to help his bladder wake his brain up so he could learn to go potty by himself AND once he achieves dryness for 5 straight days he will get his slide loft bed (a big boy bed). He puts up with the uncomfortableness as the pads are one size which doesn't really fit all. My son is 4 1/2 and on the upper range of normal sized for his age. He even gathers up the device at night and ensures we are putting it on him last thing.

THIS WILL TAKE TIME and effort on your part. PLUS: I am no longer setting an alarm trying to guess when he needs to go and changing bedding in the middle of the night because I didn't get there early enough. The alarm typically sounds early enough that I wake up to help rush him to the bathroom in plenty of time. This has helped him to start waking up. After a few weeks he is now sitting up and once he was even in the bathroom before I got there. This is the same child who would have to be carried to the bathroom and be asleep on the toilet when I would try to wake him to go to the toilet before Nite Train-r.

ORDER EXTRA PADS - I wiped one off with a wet wash cloth that had baby soap on it (I had rinsed the wash cloth but it still broke the pad) so it would alarm all the time (once his body warmed it up it would do false alarms). The other had the same issue after it became twisted or folded over during his sleep. I flattened it, but could never get it to fit him right and he would complain about it, try to adjust it and then end up wetting the bed because it was not on properly. So, form fitting underwear to keep those things from wiggling about and getting twisted in their sleep will be a big cost savings. Have extras, it took two weeks for me to get the two extra pads I ordered so we were down to none. Wash exactly as they say in warm water immediatly and have a place to lay it face down to dry so it will be ready the next night. I wish the pads were sturdier, however, we had more strides in night time training in a few weeks with the device than in the months (years) without, so yep, it is worth the money!

Comments about Koregon Enterprises Kids Bedwetting Night Trainer Girl:

Well, we've been using the Nite Train'r for 12 nights now, and every night is a new experience. We've had nights where it works perfectly -- alarm goes off, son gets up to go to the bathroom, clothes and bed are dry, switch pads and back to bed. We had one night where he wet the bed and the alarm never went off -- seems the pad was dry, so perhaps he was "angled" pointing to the side. We've had two or three nights where the alarm went off and he unplugged it in his sleep and continued urinating while sleeping. Those mornings were a mess. At least one night where he went the whole night without getting up or wetting his pants -- that was a good night. Hoping we will find more consistency soon, but time will tell.

Definitely recommend. Our 5 yo boy was leaking thru pull-ups and since his older brothers never had this problem we were at a loss as for how to "train" him to wake up. The alarm is unique and volume is adjustable & the sensor is comfortable enough that he never complained about it. (it comes with 2 sensors). He actually thought it was pretty cool to wear. So far we have used it for 3-4 weeks, & our son is starting to wake up on his own to use the bathroom. He is SUCH a heavy sleeper that I didn't think this would ever be possible so even though he is not completely night trained yet, we consider it great progress. The first few nights the alarm went of 2-3x per night now we are down to 0-1x. And saving a bundle in pull-ups. The alarm wakes him so quickly that we have never even needed to change the bedding & rarely even underwear.

So i decided to purchase this product for my 9yr. after reading other reviews. To start, this product is expensive for what you get and they charge $15 per aditional pad which you really do need. The alarm box is heavy and uncomfortable. Now my son is a very heavy sleeper and the alarm is very loud, however I still had to sleep w/ him & wake him up after I was startled awake. That is, when it did actullay go off. It is hit & miss. Then sometimes the alarm just hums like it doesn't know what to do. Now the plus side, After getting up with my child for 2.5 wks, I got a good idea of how many times and how often he needs to get up. So after 3 wks I found that we have been more successful just setting my alam on my phone to go off every 3 hrs. which after 2 days of trial and error He's not had an accident since, yes I'm losing sleep, but I was losing it w/the product anyway, at least I can sleep in my own bed. so to sum it up product was so so, but it did help me time his accidents.

My son wakes up everynight with it around 2am and seems to be dry. He then goes to the bathroom, removes the alarm and sleeps the rest of the night without it and stays dry. Attempted to sleep without the alarm this week and he wet the bed. Going to continue with the alarm and hope that someday we can sleep without it.

As other parents had indicated on the review, you have to be consistent about using it. Looks really bulky and uncomfortable but he did not complain and slept just fine with it on. Thought it was a little pricey, but well worth it in the end! I'm not into writing product reviews but I thought this one was worth it if it can help other kids overcome bedwetting.

She had only woken up dry twice her entire life and this has really changed that! Within 2-3 weeks she was consistently waking up dry and we haven't had any accidents yet! The battery box is pretty bluky on her shoulder but it didn't seem to bother her much at all.

I HIGHLY HIGHLY recomend it. My Son was potty trained for three years in the daytime but was just a solid sleeper and could not wake up. He tried, WE tried. We got up with him every three hours for four months trying to get a routien. NOTHING!! It took me about 3 months to decide to spend the money on it. Seeing Ben was the most stubborn sleeper I knew and I seriously tried EVERYTHING in the book to get him potty trained at night I was worried about wasting my money. Read the reviews...there are a lot of them. As you will see the parents that say it would not work YOU HAVE TO PUT TIME into it or the child would not do it. My 5 year old and now 3 year old both did NOT want to wear pull ups any more and were willing to try it. You have to work at it. Some it takes weeks Ben it took a couple Months. For 4 weeks straight I thought we were getting no where but we were determined not to give up and one day it clicked. Ben holds it all night EVERY night now. Going potty before bed and in the morning only. It traines your body to have control over your bladder even in the deepest of sleep. For a few weeks the alarm would go off and he would completly wet his pants. We just put a pull up over his underware and made him still get up. Than just when we were thinking it just wasnt going to work the Alarm would go off he would pee just a little bit and wake up, thats when we made him walk to the bathroom and pee the rest of the way. It was this way for a couple more weeks Finally the alarm wouldnt go off at all. We would wake up and ask eachother if we got up with him. He now has complete control. Just remember don't give up. Even if its weeks in a row. DONT GIVE UP!! They will get it. Ben was IMPOSSIBLE so for others I have High hopes. I hope you try it!!Your child is worth it. It is work.....but the smiling and proud child that stands before you at the end is well worth all of the work!!

And for thoes of you who say they have a hard time with the sensor just clean it and dry it with a little water and papertowel. By the time you need another in a few hours it is dry. We did it for months and NEVER had a problem if you took care of it right away. Again, its how much your willing to put in. If you want it to work and are willing IT WILL!!!!!
