Options to turn night light on/off separately from the alarm features are a big bonus. Very easy for our little one to understand when it's ok to get out of bed. Easy to use sleep button. Night light is not invasive. Battery lasts a long time when not plugged in.

I purchased this for my six year old, less than a year ago and it has now stopped working completely? I was not crazy about paying as much as I did for this item and to now have it fail is very disappointing. Once we received it and figured out how to set it, it worked well, but one night he tried to turn on the light and it just stopped working.

Over about two weeks my 2 1/2 year old learned that she was to stay in bed while the light was on "sleepy-time" and could come to our room when it said "awake-time."
This has meant an extra hour of sleep for the whole family as she had been waking us and her younger sister at 5 AM before we taught her how to "read" the clock. And she is so proud of herself! Soon we will teach her to tell time since the clock is an actual clock- face as well as digital.
We have chosen to use batteries as I'd rather not worry about the power cord getting tangled since she sometimes holds the clock when she wakes up early.

We've had this clock for roughly two months now and it has really made a difference. Our 4-year-old son would wake up at random times in the morning (i.e. 2 a.m., 4 a.m., etc.) too knock on our door to ask if it was time to wake up yet. We ordered this clock because it clearly lights up the correct picture so he doesn't have to ask and if it's too early to wake up, he goes back to bed.

Sleep for everyone has improved and he doesn't get so grumpy during the day because of lack of sleep. Win-win for us as parents, happier child and more Zs.

This is especially great when traveling; it helps him stay on track away from home.

Not a full 5 stars because of the constant grinding hum noise, just barely louder than the hum from a refrigerator, that it makes all the time. I don't think my son hears it or maybe it just doesn't bother him; he loves his clock.

It's to small, it's hard to operate, but it does the job I guess. If I had seen it in a store I wouldn't have bought it

I really wanted this clock to work for my preschooler but it never did! I tried and tried and it kept losing time and the night light wouldn't stay on.... I just put it in the mail for a return.. Now I have to go back to the search for a kids clock.

I bought this for my 4 year old son so he would stay in bed in the morning. Unfortunately, he figured out how to turn the knobs on the back of the clock (which are easy to get to). The time and alarm are constantly off because the knobs are easy to access. I would say this product is good for older children but definitely not a curious toddler.

I purchased this when I moved my daughter to a toddler bed to help her know when she could get up. The product is very cute. I liked the fact that it has both the pictures that light up and the analog clock to teach her time. However, unlike the other clocks offered by one step ahead, this clock does not have a nap feature so if you still have a napper (like me) you'll want to purchase a different clock.
