Kettler seatbelt doesn't work with it

Comments about Kettler Tricycle Tandem Seat:

This tandem seat is the one with stationary pedals, so it makes sense for the youngest child of two to use this seat, while the oldest child uses the front original seat, which is the one with moving pedals. Yet the tandem seat doesn't work with the Kettler seatbelt due to the seat frame - we had to rig up our own way of attaching the middle strap of the seatbelt. Also, unlike with the original bike, for the tandem seat you must put on the yellow handle covers - this was an impossible task until we tried a lubricant. Finally, the steering isn't the easiest, unless the child in front is a good steerer (ours isn't). Good for two children, though, and I expect we'll get better at using this bike as everyone adjusts. Be aware that the back child has easy access to pulling the front child's hair if so desired :)
