Used the mat for the first time for my 3 yr old to paint. The mat is a great size and colorful. It worked to keep the paint off the floors but when I went to clean up the paint off the mat, it stained the mat. We used two different paints (both washable) Crayola finger paint cleaned up well. Melissa & Doug paint did not come out. So the mat is stained, but the purpose is served.

We bought this mat to go under the Art Table also purchased from One Step Ahead. I like the look of this mat, but the material (thin Vinyl) causes this mat to bunch up and move all over. It ends up being a tripping hazard more than anything else. We have it sitting on top of a wood floor. I can't imagine having this mat laying on a carpeted floor either. I would not recommend this and anticipate returning it.

We use this as a snack mat in carpeted rooms. It's large and the kids know that's where it's safe to have a drink/snack.

I am very happy with this art drop cloth purchase. I was very interested in the art desk as well, but the oversized surcharge shipping put the art desk out of budget for me. We ordered a different art desk (Alex Super Art Desk) on [@]with free shipping for half the price, but I ordered this drop cloth to compliment the art desk. The colors and design are fun for an art desk. It matches great and fits perfectly with the desk and chairs. It helps define my daughter's arts and crafts area in her playroom. It is very durable and doesn't tear. Easy clean up too! I am very happy with this purchase If you get an art desk, I highly recommend you purchase this drop cloth as well.

Very useful fro creating a dedicated area for arts and crafts.
Easy to clean.
Suggest if using you use as a protective under sheet to a table as little ones can easily pick it up and run with it as my 17mth old quickly demonstrated to us.

I purchased the drop cloth and the matching protective painters "Jacket" for a Christmas gift. The drop cloth is fantastic. It cleans easily, and the raised edges help keep runny fluids from getting on the floor.

I think the mat is great. Not only did it protect the floor while we are doing arts & crafts. We also have fun using the mat educational to recongize colors, shapes and items.
