We bought this to put on our 27 month olds' captains bed. We were nervous as the bed is really far off of the ground and it was his first "big boy bed". This rail covers almost the entire length of the bed with enough room for my son to climb in and out of the bed at the bottom. We only purchased one as we have the other side of the bed against the wall.

This covers most of the length of a queen size bed - great piece of mind when transitioning my 3-year old to a big bed. Two people are needed to set up if using the additional bed rail. Overall a good product.

So we have a queen size bed in our daughter's room, which was left over from when her room was a guest bedroom before she was born. We didn't really want to get rid of the bed, and thought that if we could find a way to make it safe for her, we could save money on a toddler or twin bed. Even after reading some of the more negative reviews, we decided to purchase this product when we saw that it was appropriate to use on a queen bed. I am thankful that I read the reviews, as the zippers are snug, and knowing that others had issues with the zippers we made sure to be extra careful. My husband was able to install it himself, and it works perfectly. My little girl had moved seamlessly to a big girl bed, and thanks to this technology, we were able to save some money!

I was looking to keep my chihuahuas from falling off the side of my bed with high pillowtop mattress, It works great, I put their little beds right next to the bed rail and no worry their going to tip over off the beds or roll off,gives me more room now,lol don't have to keep them in the middle taking up my space, no worries now, great buy! Easy to install I didn't need to use the parts attached to the straps either needed for children just tucked the main rail under and didn't use strap or extra saftey parts for other side mainly cause I have a king bed it doesn't fit and I didn't need it for dogs..Great for those high pillowtop mattresses!

I have purchased two of these to use on both my children's beds. I love the length and the fact it tucks away when not in use. I have not had any trouble with anything breaking and I've had them for several years now. I even take them on vacation. I am purchasing a third one to leave at our weekend retreat. I am very pleased.

Zipper fell off when putting together. Other than that and it now looking like trash with Velcro holding it together, it serves its purpose.

I purchased this for my 3 year olds twin sized bed. I love the extra height and length of this rail. I feel safe knowing that no matter how he might twist and turn at night, he won't fall out of the bed. It's also a nice feature that it can fold out of sight when needed.

I was not able to put this on my daughter's bed, as I was trying to put on the cover, not only did the zipper pull break, but the entire zipper broke shortly after. Needless to say, I was not impressed and will be returning this to One Step Ahead.

I submitted a review a week ago and I don't see it here, so I certainly hope the owners of this website will allow this review to be published. We've owned several pairs of bedrails for our children and have had them on various beds-- even a single rail on our own bed at one point-- so we are quite familiar with how the construction and quality should be. However, we were attracted to this particular set because of the extra long length. However, I'm very upset that after less than 1 weeks use, one of the latches have broken. Well, not broken exactly, but the construction is such that part of the frame had bent and my husband had to use a pair of pliers to bend it back. I have no idea how much longer this set is going to hold up- it was considerably more expensive than another set purchased from elsewhere and we are EXTREMELY disappointed.

I bought the "old" version of these many years ago from One Step Ahead. My now 9 year old, 7 year old and 4 year old have all used the same set. They lasted and worked well. The covers were well worn after 3 children and I wanted to buy new covers so I could pass them on to a friend with 2 toddlers. One Step Ahead responded quickly to my email inquiry. They no longer make my old version of these. They sent me brand new bedrails with a prepaid shipping label to return the old ones, no cost, no questions asked. Amazing customer service! Almost makes me want another baby just to order their products!
