It takes a bit of getting used to once it's installed - I didn't tell my wife and I think it scared her a little. The only 'drawback" is that it takes two hands to open the washer until you get a little practice. This is the third one I purchased and it's definitely the best there is. The adhesive really holds. I would recommend this to anyone with kids.

These locks are great. However, the adhesive comes off after an amount of time. You'll have to buy them over and over (which is why I'm on the site right now) but I think they're worth it. Otherwise, I wouldn't do it.

this works great to keep my kids out. you have to use two hands to push it aside and the other to open the dryer door thus the minus one star. other than having to put down baby or basket to open n close it's really worth it and has held up well.

My grandchildren love to climb into the washer and dryer. With a new baby on the way I thought it was about time to stop that. These safety knobs worked like a charm. They cannot get them open anymore! Now, if I can just remember not to try to close the doors w/o moving the safety knob we'll be in business!

it works to keep the tots out of the front loading dryer so far. it's a little bit of an inconvenience because you do have to hold it out of the way with one hand while opening the door with the other due to the spring loading action. all in all seems like it'll do the trick and i'd rather be inconvenienced a lil that find a baby trapped in there by his brother. i'll re-review if i have problems over time but so far so good.

I have three boys ranging from 1 to 6. After they broke the dryer and threw a crayon in there to mark up my work uniform I decided to buy one. IT WORKS! Just follow the directions to install.

I've been using it for about six weeks now, and it has stayed attached. Grandson was unhappy he could no longer get inside the dryer. As with anything child safe, it's not convenient for adults! But I'll take a little inconvenience to keep my grandchilden safe.

This is staying in place really well on my dryer. So well I'm concerned it might not come off. It's easy enough to open and I can almost do it with one hand if I happen to be holding a baby.

I reviewed this product elsewhere and said it was great. Ironically, about one week after writing the review, the adhesive weakened enough for it to fall off. I believe the fact that the lock swings back with such force causes the adhesive to start moving. If you didn't let the lock swing back by itself, the adhesive might last longer.

Bought this after hearing about so many accidents with children getting locked in, one lead to a death. It works great and seems sturdy to hold on to the machine. Overall happy with the product.

These look easy to install, but I had to reread the instructions multiple times to make sure I was understanding them correctly. There is a larger gap than I was expecting between the door and the lock. Also, the lock is a little hard to unlock. This is the only product I've seen, so I will continue to use it, but it is a little awkward to install.

My 18 month old loves to "help" with laundry and after reading an news story about a child trapped in a front loader, we felt that this lock was necessary in our house. It takes 2 hands to open or close the washer now (you can't do it with a toddler on your hip), but it's worth the trouble.

I put this on both my washer and dryer as a saftey precaution with my kids. It was super easy to install and use, the only issue I had was taking off the piece on it if your washer has a lip of more than a 1/4 inch. Had to have my hubby figure it out. Other than that, it is great!
