The board is definitely durable for the wear and tear of a toddler or young child but the weight of it is a bit heavy if you are trying to keep your load light. It isn't unreasonalby heavy just solid. A child 6 and over is probably too old for it since you can memorize the placement of the pictures pretty quickly and the order of them can't be changed up since they are permanent on the card. Over all, it is a great purchase!

My son is 6 and he is learning to read and I thought that this would be good for us to practice. It is great on road trips to keep us busy!

I purchased this for my 7-year old daughter to use on the 6 hr trip home for Christmas. She thinks it's fun, but she didn't use it much in the car since she didn't have a partner. She has played with it here at home, though, and it's great practice for her ability to spell. The tiles are not difficult to flip over, as another review reported.

I bought this product for road trips. My kids love memory and I thought it would be compact and keep them entertained with the various boards. However, while playing, when you flip the picture windows open, it is hard to keep them open since they stand straight up. The flop closed, or backwards which make it hard to flip open another one. My kids are 3 and 5. Instead, they loved to flip open the pieces and knock them down like dominoes which ends up being a very loud car trip game.

I love that you can't lose any pieces. It was great for a recent car trip. It's been used for when we are dining out. Great toy. My son loves it - which is a plus in our house!

This is a great travel toy, or one right before bed, when they are spending quiet time before falling asleep. I got this for my son, specifically for the car, but he uses it before bed or when he is bored. It has many different cards that he can play, and that is great for one that needs change all the time.

We have three children and travel by car a lot. So it is nice to find games that the pieces don't fall all over the floor when they play. My 6 year old and 8 year old recently discovered the game, hangman, and really enjoy being able to play it in the car.

I got both the hangman and the memory games. The memory one is really, really great! My kids loved it, and it is indeed really hard to lose the pieces! They also really liked the hangman game, but it has one drawback. Flipping the letters and the hangman pieces is really difficult because they are so close together. My kids really couldn't manipulate them by themselves, and my help ended after two rounds because my thumbs got so sore! Still, it was fun and cool and had a great novelty factor. It's just time-limited by how strong your thumbs are!

Great toy for travel! No small pieces to get lost in the car. It keeps my daughter (6 yrs old) occupied whether we're in the car for 10 minutes or an hour. Board erases easily.
Tiles are a little hard to flip over at first, but I figure it will get easier after use.

I purchased the memory game for my 5 year old kindergartener. She LOVED it. "Santa" brought it to her and we played it the entire drive to grandma's house Christmas day (about and hour and a half). The cards have different arrangements on either side so the fun can go on and on. The next day, she insisted we play it again. I think, by far, this is the best game we have and it is amazing to me how much she shows me up in the memory category. She beats my socks off just about every time!

After one day of play, one of the tiles broke off. I'm returning for an exchange and hopefully it was just that particular one because my kids absolutely loved playing it...for hours on end!
