Great for small bathrooms! This innovative toilet seat has a built-in child's insert that disappears into the lid when not in use. No separate potty cluttering up space! Bonus: kids like using a "grown-up" seat. Includes adjustable hinges for a good fit. 5-minute assembly. For ages 2 and up. See Product Details

Comments about TrendyKid Family Seat Potty Seat - Plastic:
The only reason it's not a five star is because of the non-standard attaching hardware. It's weak and breaks easily if a "weight enhanced" individual uses it. Smaller trainer seat has magnets so that it's always out of the grownups way until the little one needs it. Instructions say no harsh chemicals but we have had NO problems using a standard cleaner with bleach. Our two year old (now three) LOVED being able to abandon the potty and use the grownup toilet! Catalog shows same image for both plastic and wood models so choose carefully! We did the plastic models because we are not fans of wood for potty use.
Fabulous! !

OMG took this right out of the box...installed it within minutes..and had my 3 year old use it immediately! ! I just meant to show him the inner seat so he would start to get it. He has had no potty training yet eitber..but he felt so comfortable with it that he just went!!! He asked to do it again! Lol! Great design..great product. Adult seat is very comfy as well ;-)
Great idea, poor quality

I love the idea of this. I got it b/c we have 1 tiny bathroom, I have 2 young toddlers (almost 2 and almost 3) and I needed a new toilet seat anyway. I had to get a handyman to put it on b/c I am a single parent (who is obviously not "handy"). It broke within 2 weeks. The plastic piece that attaches to the toilet broke right off. I haven't called yet to see if they will replace it w/ the wood one--as it is, I'm just mad it broke so soon AND I'm going to have to hire another handyman to fix the problem.

This seat is AMAZING!!!

This is a great invention. No more put on and take off the potty seat. My 3 year old daughter feels like a "big girl" using this seat. It was so easy to install, I did it myself. Cleans very easily.

overall we really like the potty seat. just the plastic fastener broke easily. but the girls really like sitting and going potty on the seat. we'd buy another without a problem.
Broke in 2 weeks at hinge!!!

About Me Parent of Multiples (Twins etc)
This is such a neat idea but ours broke in 2 weeks and the kids haven't even been potty trained yet. The hinge just snapped off. (i weight 120, my husband 190 - and we've never broken a toilet seat before) We went to [@] and bought a white composite wood version for 10$ more and it seems MUCH sturdier.

Plastic not the best/sturdiest material
By Sharon

About Me First Time Parent
Where most toilet seats have metal or other sturdy material at the hinge where you connect to the toilet, this one is completely plastic. Also most toilets have little grips on the bottom where it contacts the toilet bowl, this one has just plastic pieces. Both these things allow the seat to slide sideways if you are not completely centered when you sit. The hinges bend and twist easily with little pressure. Very poor construction. I will try to return this item.
Not the quality I expect from One Step

We love the concept of this product, and have seen it in other stores. We ordered it from One Step Ahead because we trust the quality that they provide. When we took the seat out of the box, we were surprised by the flimsy quality of the plastic. After a few uses, the seat became wobbly. After having the seat for three months, it completely came off of the toilet. We bought new hardware to try to fix the seat. After another month, we completely gave up. We were able to purchase a much sturdier version of the same concept seat at our local hardware store. This was definitely not worth the money we paid for it. It was not what I have come to expect from One Step Ahead.
Great concept. Cheap plastic.

Purchased because a friend had one. Mayber hers was constructed better as was bought awhile ago. This took my 8 yr old son and I a little bit to put together as hard to line up with bolts w/o falling off. I got for two yr old who refuses to sit on small potty seat. We had it less than a month and it wobbles and is crooked. I tried to take off and start over today and I cracked it on both side tightening too hard I guess. Not happy. Ive been buying from this site and sister site for 8 yrs with no issue untill now.

Great for potty training. Comfy seat too.
Great for tots and for guests!

We had the removable potty seat before we put this on. This has made the bathroom much easier to maintain "potty friendly" for our daughter, but eliminated the guest's uncomfortable feelings about moving the separate seat. It's also much more hygienic as you aren't moving part of a "toilet" every time an adult uses the bathroom.
Not nearly strong enough

Ours broke after two months, and this was just with normal use by adults--we hadn't even taught the toddler how to use it yet! It was always wobbling around and eventually the metal bolts cracked the plastic attachments.
Broke in two days

We were excited to use this toilet seat to help with toilet training in our smaller bathroom. Within two days, it broke at the hinges. Definitely a cheaply-made product.
Only OK

We had two very small bathrooms and there was no space for a separate seat to be stored. I thougth these seats were a very smart idea and bought two of them. They were easy to install, although from the start I could tell that the adjustability feature of the brackets would be a problem. It was difficult to fully tighten the seat so it would always move around. I had to constantly re-tighten the bolts. After a few months of this the brackets completely broke. We jimmied them together so we could keep using them, since my son did really like the seats. But once we moved out of that house, we threw both seats in the garbage. I wouldn't buy this version again. I'd go for the more heavy duty wood one.
