I was a little leary of ordering this product when I read the reviews that it ran small, but I REALLY wanted my son to be Elmo while he was young enough not to protest about dressing in Sesame Street. So I ordered the appropriate size and wished for the best. When I took it out of the package, I was still skeptical because it looked more orange than red and the fur looked kind of funky to me, for lack of a better word.

But to my surprise, when Halloween came, the costume fit wonderfully with extra room. I remembered to keep some undergarments on him and things went just fine. More importantly, the pictures I took were great (when he would sit still).

I purchased this costume for my 2-year-old son, and he absolutely loved it. It fit him perfectly, kept him cozy on a cool evening, and everyone else loved it, as well. What an easy, high quality, perfect Halloween or dress-up costume!

My 2-year-old son loves Elmo, so this was the obvious chocie for his Halloween costume. He was a hit with his peers wearing this and loved that he got to "be" Elmo for a few hours. Not to mention, he was incredibly cute doing so.

My only complaints about this costume were the material (I expected it to be more plush, but it seemed a little worn/ratty) and the degree of difficulty at getting the thing on (a two-man job).

This is the second year I've purchased Halloween costumes for grandchildren who live across the country. My 2 yr old grandson in CA was sent the green dragon costume last year.I was able to see him in it on Skype. It was adorable and his parents thought it was terrific. This year my 1-1/2 yr old grandson on the opposite coast was sent Elmo. My daughter raved about the quality and cuteness, although we have not seen him in it on Skype yet. BEST PART: A week after it arrived in VA, a company email announced its new sale price. One call to customer service got me an almost 50% refund! No hassle, no problem. The young lady who helped was absolutely charming, knowledgeable and professional.
I'm going to hate it when my 4 grandchildren are too big to wear your costumes.

I was so upset to receive the costume that didn't look like the picture. Especially when it was so pricey! It runs very small and I wasted shipping and return fees.

Costume seems tight and my 2T toddler is usually swimming in 2T clothes. Arms are unnaturally long. Head piece fits a little funny too but still cute. Doesn't look like it comes in 3T and wish it would.

Super cute Elmo costume! Only drawback:: the hood isn't quite as roomy as I would have hoped. My 2 yr old daughter LOVES it ! I hope it still fits by Halloween!! If not, no biggie; she's gotten plenty of play dress up time with it. Will be able to pass it along to her younger cousin- it looks like it will hold up nicely. Worth the money-- got some great silly pictures :)

The costume itself is cute but my daughter did not like the inside material. It was like burlap, not friendly to young skin. She cried until I took it off and had to purchase another costume.

This is by far the cutest Elmo costume I had seen in the stores and online. Shipping was fast. My daughter LOVED IT! It was perfect for the weather on Halloween night. It was easy to put on once I figured it out. My daughter never complained of it being uncomfortable or scratchy. We received many complimants on this costume. Second time buying a Halloween costume from here. Will continue to buy Halloween costumes from here on out.

My 17 month old wore this on two occasions this October. It kept him very warm on the very chilly evenings, 45 degrees (this costume is very warm would not be good in even mild weather). I thought the inside of the costume was soft. After each use I had to pick out leaves and mulch that was really stuck/tangled in the fur! It unfortunately did shed a lot, each time I picked my son up I got tons of red fur all over my clothes. Initially, I bought 12-18 mo size and the 2T. My son is ~32 in & ~26 lbs (in the 50 percentile for height and weight) - the 18 mo barely fit/was a little too sung, so I sent it back. The 2t was a perfect fit - so the sizing runs very small.
