Although this gate was a little tricky to install, it looks great, is easy to open and very strong. We installed in at the bottom steps of our stairwell and required the angle feature because of the banister and curve to the stairs. I would suggest a better instruction manual.

We have the white version of this gate. You have to buy a "mounting kit" seperately for banisters. Yes, it does work for an angle mount which is what we needed. Opening it would be hard for a weight lifter. You grab the top and use your thumb to pull back a tab and then lift with all of your might to pull it out of the mount. Then to put it back, lift again and line up with the mounting holes and then click it back into place. It is a pain. Very difficult. I have had this model for 3 years. Thought this bronze gate was different until I saw the video.
