          This product was on sale when I purchased it and I thought what a great find for wooden toys! I started my son on this toy slowly at 10mths as per the age requirement. I realized that he loves to throw so he is provided 5-10 minutes to discover the toy in a small area in his room, then with modeling and hand over hand taught to use this toy. This is definitely a supervision toy and constant modeling and positive reinforcement will enable to utilize it safely. Overall, a great toy for special mommy and daddy time!

              I got this set for my 9 month old. He loves the stacker. Bangs them together, and they are very smooth which is good b/c he puts everything in his mouth. The stacker pole is on a string so it isn't a hazard and collapses when he moves it so he can't fall on it.

              The only con is the puzzle is kinda whimpy. It's not thick like Melissa and Doug that we are used to.

              I can see him growing into this. He loves the hammer but is too little to use it on the pins in the turtle yet. Overall, very happy.

              Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
