Our grandson LOVES this backpack! He sits high enough to see everything and is close enough that we can "chat" as we walk.
Getting the backpack on and off without help can be tough - especially when he wants OUT! Still, I would recommend it as, even at 58, it makes for a comfortable hike and our grandson is comforted by the close and pleasant "ride."
One last thing: we like the fact that the backpack is sturdy on the ground so our little guy (not yet walking) can enjoy the outdoors with us even when we are working outside or just enjoying leisure time with family or friends.

We bought this for our trip/vacation to the mountains. It turned out to be a life saver!! My husband, teenage son, and I all were able to use it easily. My toddler even slept in it several times while hiking. He didn't fuss or get cranky will "riding" and he seemed to be very comfortable!! The lumbar support was great for all of us...older people!!

My son does not like being in a stroller for long periods of time. He absolutely loves the backpack and actually fell asleep in it at a parade. I will admit, if your child does weigh 20lbs or more, it is definitely a workout, but much easier than carrying in arms.

I think this is a great product,and would recommend it to anyone.The only thing I don't like is the shoulder straps. If they could make them more comfortable it would be perfect. Great for everyday use.

it works well and I LOVE that is folds up so nicely...but it is a bit uncomfortable (if on for over a half hour) on the shoulders and back

We were hiking on top of Stone Mountain and my husband slipped and fell with our son on his back. This carrier saved our child from serious injury however I can't say the same about my husband; he broke his arm. I cannot recommend this enough to everyone. We use this daily; from a stroll around the block to shopping at our local nursery. We love being outdoors and this is easier than pushing a stroller around. Not to mention the extra calories we are burning. It sits right on your hips so it really doesn't get heavy. Our son is now 28lbs and honestly it doesn't seem like it. This is a MUST buy!

We love this backpack! My husband and I both use it. We live on a small hobby farm and so taking a stroller everywhere just isn't practical. So we just pop my son into the pack and off we go to do chores around the farm. Also it's great for hiking or shopping. My son loves to ride around on our backs and likes this better than our old pack because he can see over our heads to where we are heading. He even sits quietly in it when we take it off and set it down on the legs, which trust me, is a miracle in itself. We had a Snuggly pack before this but once my son reached 15 pounds and over it was just too hard on my back to lug him around by just my shoulders. With this pack a large proportion of the weight is transferred to your hips and so it's a real back saver. I must tell you, though, that you must adjust the straps to fit snugly to your body, as you would a regular frame pack for hiking, or you will not get the necessary support.

I am not comfortable using this product. I am 5'6" and 140 lbs. Not really that small. And my baby is only 10 months old. Yet, I have the straps adjusted as tight as they will go and it still sits too low for me. The bar at the bottom rubs on my pelvis as I walk. Other people in my family (larger framed men) seem to have no problems with this and have used it for long walks and even hikes.

This is GREAT! We bought it when our daughter was about 5 months old and used it for hiking, going to the zoo, or just walking around the block or to the lake.
She has digestive problems so after eating I would sometimes put her in that so she is upright for a bit and I would still have my hands free for doing stuff like dishes.
If you have two kids you can put on in the stroller and one in the backpack!
I had major back surgery and this is the only thing I have found to not bother it! I can cary it with ease and have little to no discomfort after taking it off. I do wish the sun shade came out over top some more, but the entire thing is easy to use and GREAT! We get comments on it anywhere we go. It is a must have!
