Possibly the ideal blend of sling and carrier, the Baby K'tan Baby Carrier can be worn in multiple different positions — all without complicated wrapping or snapping. This parent-invented contraption is lightweight and compact like a sling, but goes over both shoulders to more evenly distribute baby's weight and has adjustable back support, more like a structured carrier. Supports infants and toddlers from birth to 3 years (8-35 lbs.) Machine wash. Imported. See Product Details

Best soft carrier I've ever used!

About Me First Time Parent
Comments about Baby K'tan Baby Carrier Black Large:
The Baby K'tan is such a fabulous alternative to some of the other wraps and structured carriers on the marketing since it acts as a hybrid of them. I love the way it holds DD so close and I don't have to strain my back or arms.

Love, love, love

About Me Parent of Two or More Children
I have used many carriers, particularly Bjorn (terrible on the back), fitted sling (good for short use, not great on the back after a while), Ergo and a Moby wrap before finding a K'tan. I used the Moby a lot with my first born at home, and it was fantastic, but the wrapping was a bit too tedious to try to do out and about. Ergo followed. With my second baby I found K'tan and it is amazing! It is not complicated to put on at all and the baby is very safe and secure. And it is so comfortable! Even now that baby is 9 months old I can still carry him comfortably in a variety of positions. I do use the sash in every position for added security, but also it holds the baby closer to my body taking some pressure off my back.

Great for colicky babies!
By C & H mommy

This was amazing the first few months of my second child's life! He was super colicky (due to reflux/allergies), and nothing I did could calm him - except snuggle him up in the baby k'tan! It was like an instant "off" switch...truly amazing. It took a little practice at first to get him in right, but it's worth the effort. The downside is as he got older, he managed to wiggle out of it in every position I tried...at that point I switched to the baby bjorn. He's an extremely active baby though...I've seen plenty of older babies who are perfectly happy in it. It's worth every penny even if you only use it for those first few months.
Too complex

We have it out and have tried a few times to set it up, but have not been successful. My cousin has one and loves it. We, unfortunately, have not and will probably sell it.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE
By Michelle

I'm a busy mom of 5 and I absolutely LOVE the baby K'tan. My daughter is now 4 mos old and we still use it on a daily basis. I have tried just about every carrier/sling out there but found none that I was very crazy about. most had complicated instructions, took to long to put on and didnt fit my body well. This one fits right in my diaper bag, takes MAYBE 10 seconds to put on and comes in sizes (which was important for me because I am very tiny). This is what I give every one of my expectent friendss now.
Love It!

I think this is the best carrier hands down. I have a Wrap, Bjorn and one shoulder sling as well. I was gifted two of them and handed down one. I happened upon the Baby K'tan and decided to try it after hearing great things from friends. It's basically like my wrap but already wrapped and less fabric, and goes over both shoulders like an extra secure sling. I love the way it looks and feels, and it was very easy to put on. My daughter is now 6 months and lives in it. I wish I had it when she was born. I actually ended up buying a second one for Hubby b/c we cant both fit into my Small!
very satisfied

I would definitely say that this is a must for any baby shower registry. Ordered it after a my sis said she loved hers. I used the kangaroo position for 2 months straight before i moved to the outer-facing hold. I have found it to be more comfortable on my shoulders than any sling or buckled baby carrier. I also love nursing in the K'tan b/c it has so much coverage. no one knows i'm nursing while i'm shopping/ errand running or in a restaurant. Highly recommend the K'tan.
Simple and comfortable

I have had various different carriers over the years (Moby, bjorn, maya wrap, and peanut shell - i am obsesses!), and this is simply my favorite, hands down. It is unbeleivably easier than my Moby wrap, but i can still wear it in all the same ways as the wrap that i loved and it is just as comfortable. I can't say enough positive things about my Baby K'tan! it has been such a help and i recommend it to everone!

Great Carrier
By Walking Mom

This carrier is much better than other ones with buckles and snaps. My daughter and I are both much more comfortable using the baby k'tan than other carriers. I like this product a lot...it is easy after a few practice runs of getting your baby in each position. Its very comfortable and my daughter feels all snuggled in inside the fabric. The different positions take some practice but it gets much easier each time you wear it.
Best carrier yet

I bought this for travel use and it was a breeze at the airport and on the plane. Easier to use than the larger one piece of fabric wraps and lots of versatility in positioning. Make sure to size correctly AND start using early so the baby gets used to the different positions.
Heavy weight fabric

I love it !!! Only drawback was that the heavy weight fabric made it too warm for both me and the baby. In the fall or winter, it would be ideal.
Wonderful sling for newborns
By Kathlene
from Miramar
this sling was so amazing for me and my newborn. with a colicky baby, it's not easy to work and do things around the house - they always want to be held! the Baby K'tan saved me. not only was it easy for me to figure out- a first time mom new to babywearing, but it was so comfortable and supportive. what a great sling.
amazing amazing amazing!

I can't believe I only just found the Baby K'tan carrier with my third child. I hear it's somewhat new, so I guess I can't blame myself! It is amazing product that I can now NOT imagine living WITHOUT. I use it daily. my son falls asleep the minute I put him in. the most amazing part is that I spend about 3 seconds putting it on and adjusting it, I used to spend 5-10 minutes putting on my wrap and my Bjorn. I also LOVE how great it feels when I wear it. My shoulders and back do not ache. I am gifting every pregnant friend with this carrier! Kudos to the creators!
Used it everyday
By mamarama

I used this everyday with my second child. My kids like to face out so I have to find a good strong "crosstie" sling. With my daughter I used a maya wrap. She was born in the winter and I loved the extra warmth that the fabric supplied. However my son was born in the summer and I dreaded the maya wrap. The K'tan was a great solution for me. I never got the hang of using it when he was an infant but so much of that depends on body shape (and I'm kinda round :) As soon as he was about 2 months old, he started to face out and then I used it everyday. I like the material, it is comfortable and washable. I like the simplicity and versatility of this sling. In a pinch, the sling can double as a changing mat or as a blanket. And I began to wear it, in the fall, loose around my neck all the time, like a scarf. When he needed it, I popped him in. However, I wish that I could have bought additional wrap pieces so that I could have some variety in the look. Like the main piece could be brown and then there could be like 3 wrap pieces of different colors. And since the wrap piece gets the dirtiest, then you could have one on the washer while using another. Anyway, that's how I would improve the product. Otherwise, it's a great sling.
