      The suction cup design isn't strong enough. A small child/ toddler can easily remove the dish off of the system.

            I can't find a dish that will work with the holder. It recommends stoneware, ceramic or china. Why would you let a baby come in contact with these types of material?

              This dish holder is great! We use it every day. My son is 16 months old and I want him to get used eating from the real plate, but without me worrying that he would get bored and throw it on the floor. And it works great for that. I can now simply put a plate with the food in front of him, whether we are home or at a restaurant and not worry about him flipping it.

                          Finally! Something that works. I tried a few differt items before hitting on this one - suction bottom bowls, the incredibowl etc and this is the only thing that works and you can use you normal side plates etc. that are all microwave safe.

                            I'm totally the opposite of what your saying. I can't stand using those cheap chemical plastic plates with my kids and generally try to feed them off of our ceramic plates at home or when out. I actually got the lil diner survival kit and the baby diner for a gift and it has been great to us especially when at restaurants (which most use ceramic plates anyway), not sure what happended to you all?... but we are pretty happy.

                              Tried to use this to keep my toddler from picking up and dumping out the contents of his plate. However, children's plastic plates do not stick to the suction cup. This seems to only be able to be used with adult plates which you wouldn't place in front of an infant or toddler in the first place. Not worth it.

You may have already tried this, but moisten the suction cups first to get a better grip.                                   This worked a few times, though it is very hard to find a plate these days that is completely flat on the bottom. All the kids plates out there have raised writing on them on the bottom side where you stick this to, so we had to use our ceramic plates. It worked a few times, then stopped working. If there are any scratches in the highchair where you stick the suction cup, it will not stick either. Don't waste your money like we did. Would like to return it.
